Bit surprised you haven't already got a thread for this. If you have I have missed it...So I'll start afresh.

I have already made a suggestion for uniforms on another thread. I don't mean the tacky 'play' uniforms but the real McCoy. eg.Nurse, Air Hostess, Policewoman etc. Have the model come in & relax a while then strip naked for change of clothing, or a shower or bath.

I have other ideas but I want to see other peoples suggestions too, so I'll leave it at that for now.

Yeah! I'm curious what ideas some of you might have - post away!

I made a whole list for Abby once, about 60 ideas long, for themes and plotlines for a shoot to follow. We called them 'vignettes'.

Abby is gonna set up a proper studio next year, or at the least have a permanent base in Sydney (insted of her current way of working which involves travelling around Australia). Once that is set up, and certain working routines can be put in place, organising something as involved as a little plotline or theme can be a lot more practical to arrange.

The biggest difficulty with most shoots is that the model phones us, we say 'come in, bring some clothes with you', we meet her, and if they're suitable we say 'yeah, lets shoot you now'. So we have limited time and resources to work with right then and there; That's the shoot you get to see.

Occasionally there will be a chance for some minor preparation if we are clever enough to organise it, but that is rare and dependent on many issues, not least of which is if the model is clued up about what is involved. But with a proper studio and a not so rushed schedule, Abby should be able to say to a model (especially a returning model she is already familiar with) what she should bring along.

The 'Danny in a business suit' idea that is floating around would be a prime example. I wanna see that one, she'd be perfect for it. Maybe that will happen one day.

Yup, VudDude has suggested a bunch, and they are all great (if a little hard to produce in our current workflow).

I'd be VERY keen to hear what you guys come up with. There's a real possibility of one of your ideas being acted out with a model like Ally, so get writing!

Things to consider include time, location, and money (ah, innit it always those?).

hi,
I would like to see one of your slim and slender models doing a workout on one of those complete
home gym machines ("as seen on tv") ....
Nekkid of course ;-)
Some of the routines I have seen would be rather interesting I feel http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif
Would make great video too wouldn't it ? ;-)

Yup, VudDude hasHey, is that a crack at my Kiwi accent???

Anyway, I just thought I'd add that, before anyone comes up with it, a Lara Croft scene idea has already been suggested. Several times. By me.

And even though Abby has sat through the torture of the Tomb Raider movie twice now (I think I'll get her the DVD for her birthday) she has yet to agree on that one.

Here is another idea that I think would even bear being a regular theme?

It is a long time favourite of mine. Really minimal costs involved.

Strip poker. Probably best done as a solo set but could be done with a couple of models. Don't know, but it might rate as a fetish?

What do you reckon?

To be honest, Cap, to me it sounds dead boring.

I have no desire in the slightest to do this whole theme thing. I think that no matter WHAT you do, it's gonna look contrived and tacky. You might read that to say, "Abby has never seen a set of pics where it's NOT contrived - she needs to get out more!".

Maybe so, but probably not. I have seen a hell of a lot of pictures. I have about 150 CD's brim full of stuff I have traded for, and collected myself from usenet, in the past six years. I deleted a few hundred thousand pics from my 110Gb of HDD space recently, cos I never looked at them (I regret it now, I no long has sample pics of ATK's gear, which I wanted to refer to in another thread recently!).

I don't think it's impossible to do well, but it's hard enough to make the effort not worthwhile for a "mere" porn shoot. Considering how much is spent on pro commercial photography, trying to create this very thing, that's not surprising. This kinda material is about skin, and not much else.

Lets get practical. Shooting a poker game. So maybe 10 set up shots, gals arrive at house, drinks and snacks, cards are dealt, there's lotsa laughing, they're acting a little drunk.

Then, someone looses a round, and takes off their top. In a real game of strip poker, it's gonna go on for a few hours, and there's a lot of boring stuff. So, we skip taking pics of that, we have one (or two, three) gals sitting at a table, taking their gear off in turns.

When you think about it, a table and chairs does not really lend itself to this kinda thing. Legs'd be under the table, after all. Sure, you can think of some stuff, one gal keeps loosing, she has to lie on the table naked while they play poker ON her; they all adjourn to the sofa for some GGG action, pull out the lube and three-way dildo; maybe some cards get folded lengthways and inserted...

hehehe, actually, maybe that WOULD work. Good idea. ;)

You have convinced me Cap.

Gawd, it's late, and I need to go to bed.

They don't have to use a table, Abby...Just play on the floor....Also there is no need to actually play, is there?....Just use the cards as props.

I think it probably works best as a solo shoot, not that I want to discourage you from doing it as a group thing though ;0)

Actually playing on the floor has some practical difficulties, mainly getting the lights down there to see what's going on and not have the girls cast shadows on each other. Also having to get that low to get the camera in place.

Hadn't really thought of that consideration :0( Where there's a will...There's a way, though eh? ;0)

BTW If you are thinking of three for this how about Ally, Susie & Haley?

Bwhahaha! I don't think you could have chosen three more... hm... how do I put this? Opinionated? wimmin!

Very unlikely to see those three together, ever, sorry.

hi Abby
How about a strip in reverse then?
Maybe as the model is getting ready to go out
Perhaps she starts in her day clothes or pj's, takes them off, has a shower/bath, primps preens and examines herself or whatever else a girl does behind that locked bathroom door for three hours or more ( you never know it might be an educational thing as well ), then she gets dressed up in her flash undies and glad rags/business suit and even, shock horror, some make-up and we see her in the last shot ready to go.... ta-da!!
Might suit a model who doesn't want to do the "scary" stuff http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif

Uh uh. If they don't want to do the scary stuff, don't let 'em in!

Hey just do Panties, Panties, panties. Maybe like several of the girls having a sleepover and getting down to just panties and socializing.

This is about my take on the Glamour Photography look in porn, and a possible way for to play with it on this site.

Abby mentioned that sometimes models come dressed like they imagine the should to do a porn shot. I think she said something about satin shorts and too much makeup, and that to get the look she wants she has to sort of clean them up and put them in t-shirts and shorts

Many years ago at a girlfriend's family reunion some of her cousins started in on how even at her age she had such young looking skin. She said then one of them took a closer look and dismissively said "aah, she's just not wearing makeup." She said some of them got up early every morning to get their makeup on before their husbands came downstairs. Like you'd rather look old than let someone see your real skin? (You wonder why I like this site?)

Someday I'd enjoy seeing a before and after photo sequence where you say ok, let's try it the way you thought you think you should look. Then once she's stripped off nicely, have her do a shower scene with soap and shampoo and put some normal clothes on her. Then have her strip off again as herself. Oh yeah, and since it only *seems* like all I want are BBC documentaries, hand her a dildo and ask her to show us some girlcum.

Hi TFL

Some good ideas there. And we kinda already have what you're after - test shots. When a model comes in for her first interview with us, we tell her what we do, show her samples, ask her a bunch of questions, and then take some topless test shots. We use our old Sony Camera (it took a lot of the pics on this site, in fact) with a camera mounted flash. They hold up their interview form with an ID number on it, so we don't get them confused (we can get up to ten models a day coming thru for interviews).

Anyway, these pics are for us to use, to remind ourselves of the models (often, it'll only be the liaison (Danny, Susie) who meets a model, and while they do take copious notes on her, the pics are what really count.

I'd like to use some of these pics in the backstage section. Technically (legally), I could use them, but I have a bit of a moral objection to it, cos the models are told these pics are for internal use only. I will start asking if it's ok to use the test pics on the site as well. Hm. Good idea. I doubt many of the models will have a problem with it.

The pics are very telling. The model is often nervous, wearing their own clothes (they do in the shoot as well, but we usually choose them, or augment with an accessory of ours), sweaty from walking to the interview, and so on. Reality bites. http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif

While wandering around the housewares section of a local discount store I started thinking about ways to break out of porn stereotypes (what else are you going to do while comparison shopping compact flourescent lighting on a Monday?) It occurred to me you could ask models to pose the alphabet. Once the model's done with her regular set you say "Remember that "YMCA" song? Do 'A.'" That's pretty obvious since I think everybody over about age six knows the moves for that stupid song. But then you say 'OK, now do 'B.'" And suddenly (one hopes) she's not trying to imitate Jenna Jameson anymore.

I'm guessing you could give every model the same directions and except maybe for those four letters you'd get at least one fresh take nearly every time.
