NEW DESIGN: Broken links

As you could imagine, there are a heck of a lot of links on a website that has around 24,000 files. We have tried to check them thoroughly, but a linkbot is going to miss a lot of things that a real person will find obvious(ie, not broken links, but wrong links). Please post the full URL to the broken thing in this thread, and we will fix it.

Please also let us know if you find any link that go to the old-style design pages.

Congratulations on the new site! I can see how much work it has been.

However... Raven's updated ZIP file links are messed up. On page 7 the ZIP file should be raven10.zip for files 151-175 and page 8 should be raven11.zip for files 176-200. Right now you're pointing to 09 and 10 respectively.

One other minor point: the "members" link at the very top of this page points to a non-existant page. Fortunately you anticipated many of us would have linked to this page so there's a referral - but it should not be so for your internal links.

Thanks, Artful. I have just now fixed those probs.

I'm debating with myself if I should put the current new menu on to the board pages. Two problems with that might be that it pushes the rest of the board down too far, and also the javascript involved may be hard to configure when mixed in with the board scripting.

So the text menu may stay.

But you dont show any of the models pic series as being ongoing on the second page of the directory.
Was this the way you set it up or something else ?

Nope - that's just me trying to figure out which ones are ongoing and which aren't. Many of the earlier ones on the second page are complete, though.

This is not a broken link either, but some outdated text:

On page abby.htm you still say: "Check out our samples. Each model has two on her bio page".

I don't think that's true any more for guests, is it? The bio pages now have one image that is not full size. The sample page has the full sized photos.

I've been a member for 2 months but, until recently I was too busy to download that many pics. Now I'm catching up... and today I found some more, uh... problems.
Raven: pics in the zip files are kinda jumbled;
raven04.zip contains #046-060
raven05.zip contains #101-125
raven06.zip contains #126-150
raven07.zip contains #091-100
raven08.zip contains #101-125 again
pics 061-090 are not included in any of the zips.

Mikaela: mikaela137.jpg is missing. (It's not in the zips either)

Lux: The zips include up to lux075.jpg but the thumbnails stop at lux062.

Vanessa: Pages 7 & 8 have wrong links to zip01. Need links to zip07 & zip08 instead.

Also, in the category of nitpicking minor stuff:
Tahlia pages 10 & 11 - previous page & next page have wrong links
Kate page 2 - previous page has wrong link.
Erin page 8 - has duplicated/unnecessary zip links.

Well, I've fixed all of those new ones. Some of them I don't understand at all how they happened, others are just my usual bumbling.

Are you sure you fixed those? I'm still having the same problems with the Raven zips.
mikaela137.jpg has a placeholder but no pic. Still the same problem with the lux pics.

The Mikaela pic has been missing from day one. No idea why. Rather than renumber the whole set, we have included the place holder. Sorry for not explaining that earlier.

On every mezz thumbnails page, on the 'gold' drop down menu, the 'members home' link is broken. In addition, the 'backstage' button links to an obsolete backstage page (http://www.abbywinters.com/members/gold/backstage.htm).

On the Rose thumbnail pages, the current page number link (at the bottom) isn't styled as it should be and doesn't respond to 'mouseover'.

Sorry, Abby, but the pix on Backstage pages 33, 34 and 35 don't display (just a placeholder box in place of each thumbnail), at least for me. Previous and succeeding pages display OK. And the photos referenced by the thumbnails *do* display when the empty thumbnail is clicked.

The Backstage pics I am aware of. That was due to a mixup at the last minute between Abby and I. And in the end probably doesn't matter too much as next week they'd be posted anyway.

As for the mpg... I've fixed it now. Sorry about that.
