i just wanted to say how much i enjoy the close up shots that abby takes. i don't just mean the breast and pussy shots. some of the hottest pics here are close up pics of the models faces! two shots that come to mind immediately are of Tamara and Anastacia. those shots make me feel like i'm moving in for a hot make-out session LOL.
keep it up Abby!

Thanks, Orrel!
Yes, I really like them as well, as you can tell! The reason I started doing it, was to play with the macro feature on the camera. I think that Rose was the first model I shot with my camera, and there are some macro shots of her bits and pieces. I was so pleased with the clarity of the results, I kept on doing it.
What I have started doing, as you have seen to some extent (with Tamara, for example) are a series shots, macro focus, just of a model's face. I ask her to give me some facial expressions - surprise, pissed off, sad, happy, thoughtful, etc. I want to do more of that in the future.
If anyone has any suggestions for facial expressions (or close-ups of other body parts), let me know!
BTW, for the tech minded among us, using macro focus / zoom combination results in a very small depth of field (aka DOF). DOF refers to how much of a picture is in focus, on the horizontal plane moving away from the camera.
So, for those pics of Anastacia, for example, you can see that in this one (http://www.abbywinters.com/members/anastacia/anastacia257.jpg) (that'll open in a new window for you), her right eye is pretty much in focus, but the tip of her nose is out, as is her shoulder, and her necklace. The "depth", the distance from the camera that is in focus is probably three or four inches (76 - 102mm).
Everything else on the same plane as her eye (her hair, other eye, bridge of her nose, top lip) are also razor sharp focus.
As a general rule, the DOF decreases as the camera gets closer to the subject. Check out tamara097 - the DOF there is an inch (25*mm) or less. Other things that affect the DOF includes the level of light, and the size of the aperture (measured in F Stops). But that's getting a little TOO techo for this forum. If anyone is interested, they can start a thread over on the TechArt topic.

(* = an inch is actually 25.4mm)

How about real close-ups of her mouth with the focus on her lips..
And close-ups of the shoulder from the back with long hair flowing over and the soft downy hair and texture of the skin in sharp focus....
And tummy shots between her navel and her pubes ..and of course i cant forget my personal favourite;close-up knicker shots ..oh i could go on and on http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif.. but i have to go and look at some more pics now http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/wink.gif

Abby, the 'facial expression' shots are undoubtedly my favourite thing about the way you take the photos, so more of them would be great!
An idea for a different type of expression: orgasm. I don't know how you'd go about persuading one of the girls to actually do this reasonably authentically, but if you did manage to pull it off, man!! Can you imagine someone like Ally or Charlie with her face contorted as if in orgasm!? I don't think I'd be able to take it!!!
Thinking about it, it probably wouldn't be that hard a thing to do. When somebody yawns or shouts, sometimes it can look kinda similar to an orgasm expression. Failing that, just tell them to grit their teeth and screw their eyes right up!
What do you reckon Abby? A good idea?

Yeah, that's kinda the holy grail of the biz - capture a real orgasm on film. The operative word is, of course, "real". Pretty much every porn vid has big-haired, high-heeled, fake-boobed, oiled porn starlet moaning with orgasm for 90 minutes, but it's all patently fake.
It's easy to ask someone to do that, and most extroverted gals are keen to fool around a bit with that kinda stuff, as well, acting. And they have all seen their boyfriend's porn vids, and they think that what guys want to see.
I reckon that's NOT what guys want to see, but it all they have been given for the last 30 years, so they kinda figure that's all there must be. But that's where sites like mine (and darchives.com, and teenflood.com, and so on) come in. Real people, behaving as they normally would. You'd be insulted if you partner faked an orgasm, and I reckon it's insulting to have pics of girls faking it on a video or stills, to a large extent.
But it's dead easy to spot a fake. I have only ever photographed one model who came genuinely close to the brink, and that was Nikita (check out her gallery two, pics, 102 - 106, 110, 117, 118, and 123 - 128 - unfortunately, a lot of those pics have bad focus, damnit!). See how there is not lots of pouting, and in general she was pretty quiet. Her facial expressions could best be described as "serious", not "orgasmic"... but it's pretty clear what is happening.
Donna's vids (especially #3, the new one), has some similar stuff (still pics are coming up), as does the upcoming Maria stuff (and check out the Lily vids (pics are yet to come)) Tia does some good stuff on the sun-deck, as well.
Over all, I think the Nikita stuff is the most genuine stuff I have shot. The other models definitely got into it, but they did not orgasm, and there was probably some (internal?) acting involved.
We'll keep at it, tho. We usually run it by the models, see if they are willing to work with us on this. Some are keen, others are not keen, but change their mind when it comes to the crunch, which is always nice. And other SAY they are keen, and then back out. but generally, we're going to favor the real deal, over acting, cos I reckon it makes a difference.
You?
