Vid Dude

She's around, but always very busy. Now that the sun is out, and University is shut up shop for the year, the models are increasing, which keeps Jamie and Verity and Abby very busy indeed.

If it helps, she's standing right beside me now.

We eat turkey at Christmas.

And it doesn't matter about Thanksgiving. We get Australia Day, Anzac Day, and Melbourne Cup Day off instead.

List of Australian public holidays (per state) here (http://www.whatsthenumber.com/oz/know/dates/holidays.htm). Yes, us Aussies do like to slack off quite a bit :)

We normally don't observe American holidays. However we do recognise the Queen's birthday in early June (though in Western Australia it's held in October, because it clashes with our foundation day).

One of the most solemn days in the antipodean calendar, commerating a major military defeat.

Hey, we don't get the Queen's Birthday as a public holiday in England! Not fair.

Yeah, but what about May Day & August Bank Holiday?

Queen's Birthday holiday is not just en excuse to have a day off. We genuinely celebrate our champion homosexual population on that day. ;) You mustn't be as liberal in the Old Dart as we are here in Oz. :D

Yep... In Australian parlance, we describe this as "chucking a sickie". Typical work conditions allow for roughly 10-15 days of paid sick leave per year, sometimes more. However if you chuck too many sickies and get caught out, your boss may "give you the arse" :)

Oh boy, this sounds very special for me. I have employees who have 20 - 25 days of "congé de maladie" (sick leave, that I pay), and the record is in the hands of one of our ladies who had last year 120 days, and who is still sick (well, officially). I don't know how it's managed in Australia, but here in Luxembourg, the employer pays the current month and the 3 next months. Only after that the administration starts to pay. I can tell you the sickness days are a huge budget in my yearly balance.

So, back to the topic now: Where is Verity?

My ladyfriend and I were talking yesterday about the kinds of time off from work you can take, and we decided there should also be "sex days" — days you can take off to spend getting laid all day.

Anyone want to help us push that through gov't. legislature? :D

P.S. I hope Verity is well.

P.P.S. Give us a holler when you get a free moment, V; we love it when you do.

Wouldn't that be the Queens' Birthday?

OK, it's wierd enough that we're heading into winter hear in the states and I woke up to 4 inches (10 cm) of snow on the ground and you guys keep talking about how it's warming up but are you telling me that you do what makes sense and Schools out in November? I guess I just never considered it. :(

Here in the southern hemisphere, our school year actually goes from the start to the end of the calendar year. When I was a teen, this is something that confused me about the US when they talked about their school years on TV shows and in books and stuff.

The "grade school" year goes from late January through to early December, with three two-week "term breaks" spread through the year. The Universities tend to be mid-February to mid-November or something like that, with similar term breaks.

Just in case no one has ever told you, school in the US generally is closed from our Memorial Day (last monday in May) to Labor Day (first Monday in September) which are both holidays that more or less start and end our summer.

...and then of course there is summer school which is often perceived as for those students needing additional attention

Elfie, please do not talk about things you do not understand.

Verity is not here just to talk to you. She is actually here to work on interviewing models, assist on photoshoots, and to take phonecalls, amongst many other things (she's been operating the video camera recently as well). Yesterday she was especially busy because Jamie was unwell.

Because she is so busy and often away from a computer, she does not get a chance to post on the boards much, but she will when she can.

Now if you do not shut up about stuff like this, you will be even more restricted in your ability to post than you already are.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what kind of timing I call this, I'm only about 6 months behind you guys.
But I'm sure If you check out my other threads you can see that I have been around, just not in the right places.
I'm not actually feeling all that great this morning, but I am trying to get better with the help of a nurofen and some hot peppermint tea. I think I have been abusing my body too much over the last few days and not doing enough yoga.
Anyway, we are of to shoot two really hot chicks playing together today so I need to feel better soon.
love Vx
