Hi guys

As you'll see shortly, there's a new survey up for the next week on Wallpapers. If you head on over to the Wallpaper page (http://www.abbywinters.com/wallpaper.htm), you see there is a slew of them there already, including a great one by (ex?) member, BlackGoat, of Vanessa. Great work!

The others there have been designed by VidDude, who's always interested in feedback, too, so you're welcome to post here if you've anything to say.

For a bit of fun, we're asking for submissions of your own design featuring the models on this site. You can post them to the boards, and if they are good enough, we'll include them on the special Wallapaper page. There's a free one month membership in there for the best one!

DETAILS:
Please keep files to a reasonable size - under 200Kb is best. No need to make them in multiple resolutions for now (but we might ask you to if you win!), just stick to the 800x600 for the panel to judge.

There's only one requirement for the wallpaper: it must say "abbywinters.com" on it someplace (12pt is ok, no smaller please, bigger is fine). of course, it has to feature at least one abbywinters.com model.

Entries close... aw, I dunno, a few weeks from now? Sorry, I am making this up as I go along. We'll see what the traffic is like.

Judging of the winner will be by members, on the members page. I'll nominate a few of what I reckon are the best ones (after comprehensive discussions with VD, of course), and we'll take votes over a few days.

Got any ideas on that? Ask a question, or get drawing!

abby,

i'm hurt. "including a great one by (ex?) member, BlackGoat," why would you say ex? I've been here all along. i haven't gone anywhere. i've been as loyal as a lapdog. i am just lurking around, not saying much. but i do thank you for the kind words on the vanessa wallpaper, i appreciate it greatly.

btw, does the vanessa wall count in this contest. i'd be glad to submit some other designs i had worked on, including the ally & charlie one you earlier rejected (although honestly, i dont think it looked any worse then the filter used on the one for Genevive or the new one for amy which hurts my eyes as a desktop with the fading/soft blur effect, no offences meant)

i for one do download the wallpapers and appreciate the work put into them, and think its a great feature of the site.

I have the Amy one as my own wallpaper currently (I really liked the idea, and it turned out pretty good) but I can understand why you think it hurts your eyes.

By the way, some of my wallpapers are pretty shitty when it comes down to it... I rush them, or my brilliant inspired ideas aren't really as brilliant as I think... (art's a crock)

Anyhoo - I think we won't include the existing Vanessa one, but any other designs you have feel free to submit them! Use as many filters as you like - they can turn bad compositing into a great image http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/wink.gif As I know only too well.

hiya, BlackGoat

Sorry, I did not have a chance to look up if you were a current member, hence the question mark. I had not seen any posts to the boards from you in ages, so figured you might have moved on. Glad you're still around, tho!

Please post you Ally and Charlie 'paper to the boards here, and a small version of your Vanessa one as well.

Ok, now i followed the instructions for posting an image as stated in the help section, and upon posting...it didnt ask me to upload a file.

Let me know exactly how, and I will gladly post what wallpapers I have done.

Hi there.

Well, it looks like this contest coaxed at least one of us lurkers out and onto the boards. http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif Let me try and post one of mine. Hope I get this right. ;)

Alright, looks like it worked. http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif Lemme send one more tonight. Here's a wallpaper of my favorite model, Sophie.

http://www.abbywinters.com/discus/messages/7/419.jpg

And blackgoat, did you do the brackets and description after the "\image" part? That may be the reason it didn't work.

Heeeyyyyy, Brillo

That is REALLY cool! I am impressed!

BlackGoat, adding an image is in the help section - also, if you go to the bootom of this page, and click on the _discuss formatting_ link.

The short version is, use this format:

image{anyname}

Note, no spaces, and "anyname" can be anything, does not matter. I'd do an example, but it'd take it the wrong way.

i wouldnt necessarily say anyone's wallpapers would put others "to shame". thats a bit harsh.

i'm not worried about someone else's being better or higher quality or more artistic....i'm just hoping at least one person out there likes it as much as i do. if they do, then i'm happy with that.

i am looking forward to seeing what others do with your images abby, because afterall, your great photography is what's being put on display...that and these gorgeous women you pluck out of obscurity and reveal before us as we all drool.

i'll get around to posting some more that need to be touched up before showing for the judges eyes.

here's the requested post of the vanessa wallpaper that is currently avail in the wallpaper section.

Ok, this one kinda sucks hard, but I thought I'd post it anyways. I am not really sure what I was thinking...I was just trying for a certain look, but never even got close to what I really wanted in my mind and I sorta ran out of steam and gave up on it.

Maybe someone will like it...who knows.

alright, another post. this is a very simple wallpaper...no nudity, just making use of a spectacular image of another fav of mine, Imogen, stargazing.

her green eyes enchant me, and give me a very natural, earthy vibe.

btw, can you tell that most of the time I am more intrigued by the 'up close and personal' head/bust shots then the down and dirty full-on nudie shots? I can honestly say I enjoy those moments caught on film of the funny faces, the shy looks, the stargazing and the wry smiles more than anything else.

oh and sorry bout the huge size of the images...I just realized I was supposed to be submitting these as 800x600. DOH! Hope that doesnt disqualify me. if it does, you'll force me to pout and focus my puppy dog eyes on you.

i have a few more wallpapers made up, but wont post any more images in this contest as i dont want it to seem, as stated on the main page, 'onesided'.

i was hoping that my postings, along with the two excellent ones by Brillo, would spur on others to donate their creations, but alas...

I've been inspired to create one or two myself. First few were a mess, but now they're coming along.

I think the contest has expired, no? But can't we continue to share our work somewhere?

It's great fun to work with this material...

Cap'n!

On the one hand, your image combinations are wonderful.
I love those beautiful pussy closeups, and next to the pretty faces they're even better.
... if a little bizarre; on a couple, the pussy looks like a mis-shapen ear.

On the other hand, I wouldn't have a closeup of a pussy as my wallpaper.
I mean, even in college at a fraternity, if I was having a girlfriend over...

So long as you're doing images of pussies, how about a combo of 5 or 6 pussies on one wallpaper.
Now *that* would be something.

Arsby,

Thanks for the unusual compliment. If you want any of these in larger format
just say the word. I have them in 1024x768 and 1280x960. But most are too big
(KB) to post here. so, mail me at my personal e-mail. I will try to put together
Your request as well.

As requested, a "pussy" wallpaper. I have all of my wallpapers in larger sizes
if any one wants. I just need to send them via other mail source. Most of my wall's
are too big (Kilobytes) to put at this board.
Thanks,

Done.

You have quite a unique style to your wallpapers. I'm quite speechless.

Gotta admit, though - it's not something I would put on my desktop... My icons would looks someewhat out of place on such a backdrop.

capt691
9th May 2002, 04:56 AM
Hey Videoman,

Two things...

First,
hide the icons by right clicking somewhere in
your desktop. then left click on properties / left click on
edit / then check the "hide icons when the desktop is viewed as
a web page" then if your desktop is not viewed as a web page
click on the tab "web" and click on the "view my active desktop
as a web page". You can also drag the icons down to the open portion
of your task bar so when you Hide the icons you still have one click
acsess to them.

If you would like, go to this site http://www.rocketdownload.com/Details/Desk/4231.htm
and download "GT Ripple" it's a program that lets you hide icons among ther things.
You have my word that it is safe. It's only 699 kb.

Second,
as I mentioned earlier I have all of my wallpapers in larger
sizes. They are just too big (kilobytes) to put at this board. I would
have to send them to an alternate e-mail.

Thanks,
capt691

Capt 691, Blackgoat, Brillo, Vidman,

Regardless of the outcome, this wallpaper contest has been a lot of fun. There's a lot of great creative work here, and it's inspied me to work a little harder with Paint Shop Pro. I even had to dig out the manual! I'm still struggling, but when I look at some of your work, I have to think, "how the hell do you do THAT?"

So thanks to all for the inspiration...
