Vids Instead of Pics - Good or Bad?

Looking at next week, I don't particularly like the idea of replacing Monday's updated model with videos instead of pics.

I like the vids here, but for me they're like dessert. The main course is the pictures, they are why I joined.

Wondering what others think.

I agree with you Arsby. Definately prefer pics as the main update of the day in the regular section. This might not apply to the Gold section however. I love the really excellent videos that we sometimes get as the week's update there.

Unfortunately, we're left with no choice. The models we shoot who do nude only have sets that are around 100 images (or less). That means there are less possible updates per model to add to the site.

If you don't like videos, the alternate is nothing, which we don't want to do.

This may be another reason to include girls like Aimee( with the implants) and give us the choice of not downloading her if we don't like.

That way you can fill the no picture gaps.

Well, the guests page promises: at least 300 pics a week plus videos, so perhaps that page needs altering.

Will the upcoming mezzanine page remedy the situation regarding lack of available updates? I assume models such as Alice, Jane, Jess, and Danielle, all previewed some time ago on the models forum, are being held back for this new section and so aren't available to make up for the lack of "A" material updates (such a distinction being entirely subjective, of course).

Good idea, I will alter the guest page for now.

The Mez page will change it a little, but it's better to be sory. Some people are generally litigious, and as soon as there is an update with 299 pics in it, they will email me.

i joined for the vids ...in particular the g-g vids ... but new ones are clearly so sparse and slow in coming ...sadly, im already bored

The vids aren't really a primary part of the site, or weren't intended to be. We've upped the stakes on vids in the last few months, though - they're beginning to be a stronger part of our output. However, they're getting to be so good, that they're often chosen to be actual VHS releases, which shall be made available later this year.

Since there is an effort to create feature length videos for sale, does that mean that we members will see less and less video offered on the site? I'd hate to see the video offerings that are available now go away in the interest of an additional revenue stream.

I guess what I'm worried about is a situation where we'd see something like this on the site:
"Here are the latest pics of XXXXX model. We have video of her doing all the wildest and hottest things imaginable, but you have to buy the video for $40."

I'm happy to see the video offered, I just don't want to lose anything in the process..

Good question, and I understand your concern.

The videos for sale will be specially produced: we get models we already know, match them together, and set up a full length scenario. Unlike the vids on the site which are really just voyeuristically watching the models strip, just as though you were present at the shoot. They're quite markedly different.

For various reasons, the match ups we arrange and were intended as full length feature videos don't always work quite as well as we'd hoped, so for those few we chop out all the bad parts, and release them on the site in the Gold section.

So as you can see, at this stage there is no intention to change anything we do, and the featurelength vids available for sale will be additional to, and not at the expense of, the site.

The only thing that's slowing our progress down is that we, the abbywinters team, are still spread throughout the country. Soon we'll be more consolidated and based in one city (except for Elvaar, I think he's reluctant to move), and things will start to speed up. So stay tuned for developments!

Gazboy: Sorry you are disappointed. We are increasing the rate with which the Gold vids will be updated - once every two weeks or so. Keep in mind, the Gold section is a "loyalty program", essentially, for staying a member. The main part of the site is really what you are paying for, the Gold material is just "cream".

What you are getting for the price you are paying is far, far, far more than any other site offers, so in a way, as Slipjig suggests, you're already spolied!

Slipjig: just to reiterate what VD said, the new GG vids we are shooting are very much in addition to the site content. However, we do plan yo put up a few four minute (or so) vids on the site, just so you can gauge the models' performance, and so on.
