Hello all!! It is sooo very exciting to finally be on the boards - part of such a vast and constantly expending community of fine people (members and fellow models alike)! As eager as I was to have my shoot go up (so that I would have access to things like this) I now find that as I have just moved into a house with 5 people and 1 computer I don't get the quality web time that I would like to browse and post however. . . I am here now so talk to me and I will do my utmost to return the favor in a not too delayed fashion! More about my shoot - well for starters. . . who would have known how much fun it can be to expose yourself completely, while tempting bizzare and quirky tasks in front of a camera?! I just want to know when I might get another round of it! For all of you who enjoy browsing abby's site - good on ya! And. . . for all who may be interested in participating as a model - go for it! Why not?! Forsake all inhibitions, strut your stuff and reap the rewards through confidence and just plain fun! Thanks all! Until next time, Taya L.

Thanks Nona! It's great to get feedback from a fellow model! I will have to check out your shoot as well - haven't had time to look at many sets as of yet. . . funny thing actually - I still wear those knickers! Yes - believe it or not! I thought they were done for sure but no - they somehow amazingly managed to retain elasticity! Remarkable eh?!

Hey Tanya!
Loved the shoot, looking forward to seeing more from you.
5 people in a house with one computer? I've been there, done that and I know exactly what you mean in regards to having time to look around properly and post.
So are you planning more shoots? Any ideas on what you'd like to do?

Tanya, the videos of your dancing are both erotic and extremely beautiful! I guess that nude dance has its own erotic quality to it... but your movements seemed to make being clothed or unclothed irrelevant. I think that we can all admit that most of us who love dance are fully conscious that we love to see beautful human forms in exquisite motion... how appropriate to find someone of your skill and personal beauty on AW. Kudos for keeping your movements so free and elegant in such a confined space! I can only imagine what you're capable of with full range of motion.... I must also say that my jaw dropped at some of your finer points of flexibility. Frankly, I had no idea how much just watching a woman simply move her limbs about would be so... well, damn hot.
And THANKYOU for honoring your body! I'm sure that you know from first hand the pressures to diet/starve/use pills that surrounds the performing arts field, esp. on women.... From this vantagepoint, your curves are in ALL the right places... Brava, dahlng...
I do not know the modern modes as well as the classical style. Can you tell us how long you've been up to this, and what drew you to it? It's fascinating to watch.

Thanks Excelsior! Your comments on the overall appreciation of watching me dance, regardless of physical state (nude), are both flattering and greatly appreciated. I find that, having chosen dance as a career dosen't neccesarily mean earning an income substantial enough to get by. What it does entail is a lifestyle choice and, as you've mentioned, the pressures to fit a particular part. Although my body may not resemble such struggles they are still quite apparent in ervy day life. Like everyone I suppose there are stages of good and bad - days when confidence is strong and others when nothing feels right. . . It is a shame that society causes such ordeals, using the media to promote an image that is not neccesarily healthy and not there for everyone to fit - try as they might. Perhaps it is an eternal struggle for us as humans - always wanting to be something we are not - wanting something different than what we already have.
On the brighter side of things I have danced my entire life although intensive, technical training came a bit later for me. Originally a lover of jazz and hip hop, years of modern and contemporary training have encoded such styles in my body and my movement. It is an intense life but amazing to be doing something I love - something very expressive and creative!

Hi, Tanya:
Had no intent to open that big can of worms in the performing arts that is "body image" :( Yes, it's just an insane situation there.... and why should I have thought that anyone dedicated to this field should be able to escape it fully? In a field that is competitive enough on technique, hard work, and talent, it's difficult to think about those things not necessarily being enough. Art is a risky venture, but it is also a field of great beauty and personal accomplishment, one of those few things in the world that tap our inspiration and creativity... Profitable or not, few people ever regret living out their inspiration! Thanks for sharing a little piece of yours with us.

Your words are truly inspirational! Yes. . . art is the suject, the goal and the venture and whichever path we travel on its quest is our own - as full of complication and obstruction it is also full of glory, dedication, love and satisfaction - thus is art and life as they depict one another. . . the struggle plays into the overall fulfillment and wonder. Just being able to do what I love is amazing and none of the struggle surrounding it can penetrate this barrier. . .

Rock 'on, Tanya... That's wonderful... You may have seen some of the music appreciation threads, here... It seems that we're a musical group! As a dancer, I imagine that your tastes in this area (both for dance and for listening) would be quite diverse. Care to let us in on what's on your player/ipod?
tanya_l
10th March 2006, 06:38 AM
Funny you should mention it. . . I love to move, never able to stand still and thus I find great expression in dance but music is my other if not my real true love. So much inspiration and ideas spawn from listening and interacting with music. I have a definite appreciation for many, various types of music which is surely reflected in my library and on my ipod. Favorites would have to be folk, rock and blues from the late 60's and 70's - Bob Dylan is my hero in his poetic ramblings - there are tons more who I could mention but I dare say it would go on for ages!

perhaps tanya, you could give me some private dance lessons? My un co-ordination has now been permenantly recorded on an AW video, and to prevent giving susie the chance to further make me embarass myself and dance naked on video. Help me oh please help me!

I would love to choreograph to a Dylan song - there is something amazing that comes out when dancing to music that you truly love. This should be obvious but I find that it doesn't happen enough! I had a chance once, in a friends choreography to dance to a bit of a Dylan song but there is much more needed to find satisfaction! The hard bit there is that as soon as you incorporate lyrics into choreography it can dramatically change the piece and thus you need to pay close attention to what you are using. This is how you make something with greater meaning and artistic flare I suppose but it is also nice to just dance to what you love without the quest for greater thought (at times!).
That's awesome that you play the guitar alexbee - I play a bit myself. I love it so much - it is something i have done a bit of for awhile but with everything else going on I haven't had much of a chance to get good enough to be in a band or play much with others, which I would love! Everything I have learned I have either taught myself or learned through friends who are great teachers!! The music I listen to is the music I love to play so I play a lot of folkie and what may be classified as country rock stuff! LOVE IT!!!!

Hey Matilda - I haven't seen your videos but I would surely be up for a dance fest of some sort. . . I am familiar with the un-coordination factor as I have close friends with the issue. It seems however that once I have forced them to just relax a bit and not worry about things going on around them - just enjoy themselves they do fine! Love the music and move however you want!!! Private lessons could also be arranged!

Tanya, have you looked at ollie's page (http://www.abbywinters.com/main.php?page=profile&model=978).She also seemed to have a need to be in motion, and appeared to have wings on her feet and a rubber backbone to facilitate it.I don't know if she's still interested in doing another shoot,(or if she's a Dylan fan),but it would be interesting to see if you could construct a sequence around a Dylan song, either solo,or with Ollie.

Hey guys! What's up?! I had a lot of fun stopping by the office to chat with Valerie and check out the site the other day. . . finally got to explore it a bit more and make my own list - what a great feature! I started out just choosing my favorite images and ended up with a group that could easily be a theme of either movement or nature. I have left it as my favorite images for now but soon I hope to go back and get more detailed - create more lists by categories - fun!

Hi Tanya_l,
Yeah, this list thing is fun. But I'm finding out my picture list is getting way big; some nature, some erotic, some artsty, some portraits, some explicit. Each model can have 6-7 favorite pictures. That makes for a big list of pictures.
My model list at first was around 17. Now it's grown to 30 if you count my favorite photo list. And each model can have around 6-7 pictures. 30x7=210 photos!
Although, I haven't categorized my photo list into a "theme" yet. :(
tanya_l
7th April 2006, 03:04 AM
Yeah I had the same dilemma when making my list. . . when you find favorite images they seem to come in sets as, for me at least, it is the concept of the entire shoot that is appealing so it is difficult to choose only one or a few images from the set. I have not continued to add to mine yet but as soon as I do I'm sure they will start to branch out into many realms other than just outdoor and/or movement shoots which is my theme for now. . . still - all in good fun - a massive favorite list or many categorized lists. . .

Yeah - the curly hair versus the straighter look. . . i agree - very different and not just in looks. . . I feel that it actually affects my personality too! Hard to explain exactly but - because it is usually curly I often feel more put together with straight hair but then it is my curly hair that is more unique and I love it too! Funny how people have strong preferences though - most of my friends love it curly since it is more uncommon however there are a few who tell me how much better they think I look with straight hair. . . perhaps it is a generic preference and dosen't neccessarily have much to do with the person. . . anyone out there with strong preferences?! Not just for me but for yourself or on others?

I am a sucker for straight hair, Tanya!
However...when a woman is in the shower or her hair is wet, that is when I am most vulnerable. Nothing I enjoy more than combing a woman's hair while she is freshly out of the shower, still dripping wet and sitting up cross-legged on the bed.
I just find that sooooooooooooooo sexy....Weird?

I love my hair in that I do, like, nothing to it. Sometimes I brush it, and i wash it every now and then. But I want to cut it all off, ALL of it, and let myself go gaunt and wear monk's robes. So when it grows back it's not gonna be pretty. At that point, I'd love for nice thick, wild hair. So I'll swap you when I cut it off you can have it, and when it grows back I get yours, deal?

Naturally curly - very curly in fact! Although it is long now it use to be even longer which made the curl a bit more weighted - it is growing but for a period (a few months ago) it was soooo curly and springy and out of control. . . definitely a larger hassle than straight hair - especially with fringe that wants to go all over the place! Plus, after slepping on a head of curly hair it is often a load to control it enough for public places even though I don't seem to care much these days but it can leave me feeling like I just rolled out of bed - all day long! haha! And wet hair well. . . that's another story there RT! What is it about being wet that is so appealing?! not that I disagree just curious to hear your perspective. . . is it the notion that wetness often means recent nudity (shower) or. . . texture or. . . ? I just had an epiphany…
Tanya, I never thought about why I absolutely love the shimmer from wet hair until you asked me!
When I was a lifeguard (when I was 17-18), our certification maintenance relied on CPR and simulation testing of spinal injuries etc…I know what the Oz are thinking – ohhh a concrete pool lifeguard…look out for floaties and water fights out of control, but it is the only water we have here as we are land locked.
Anyway, the simulations were done with other lifeguards and the males would always jockey for positioning or try to bribe the Sr. Red Cross Instructor to pair you up with the best looking girls. I do remember having to practice constraints when giving the “breath of life” to a nice looking girl whilst wearing only a Speedo (sorry Stoneyyy)
I remember the hardest part to maintain composure was when we had to prop up the base of her head to open the air passage. My hands were wrapped in beautiful wet hair…
Now I could tell you, if you ask any of my ex-girlfriends they would tell you that I really enjoyed when they got out of the shower and there was time to spare, they would sit on the bed and I would get the hair brush and gently comb their hair, stroking it with the brush and my hands too.
Nothing like them being on top during sex, with wet hair lashing me as well. I just love the shimmer and texture and maybe it brings me back to those days!
;)
Thanks Tanya!

Val! Your hair is sooooo beautiful! It makes you you - wild, hippie, flower child! Change is good though and sometimes it takes a dramatic one to feel different. . . I've never gone short with my hair but perhaps one day. . . guess if you are going to do it ya might as well go all the way! I'm sure you will make a beautiful monk!!! XOXO

Funny I am actually in the habit of doing this thing with my hair lately where I straighten just the bottom few inches. . . weird I know! I think I like it because it leaves it looking wavy and textured but makes it also feel and look longer. I'll have to see if I can post a picture so ya'll can check it out. . . not very good with computers so. . . any help is greatly appreciated! Should be easy I know I am just sick of spending hours on a dial-up connection, on an old, slow computer trying to accomplish some simple task that really can be done in 5 minutes! AH! Sorry about the whinge but its out now. . .
