Hey all,
First time poster here - got my forum account activated just to share a little tip with you all after seeing the faq page about the size of the images. There is a way of getting a happy medium between images fitted to the screen, and easy browsability, and it's all thanks to geeky comic book fans ;)
Basically, people scan in comics and save them as [comicname]pg1, [comicname]pg2 etc etc etc... then they save them all in a nice zip file, and use a piece of comic book reading software to open them and view them in order. Most of the good reading software will do full screen viewing (even with absolutely no menu's for the best in full screen goodness :)). By a happy cooncidence, the Abby image sets are saved to zip files in exactly the same way. Best of all they'll let you flick through the pictures by just hitting space bar... good for those of you who want to have your mouse hand free for... eh... other activities :o (who doesn't like drinking a cup of tea while looking at their favourite models?)
So anyway - here's a few links;
CDisplay (http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay) is probably the best windows based software out there, and does everything I've mentioned above - you'll need to change the preferences to make it default to fit to screen, though.
Comix (http://comix.sourceforge.net/) is the software I use on Linux
Comical (http://comical.sourceforge.net/) I've never used, but I needed to include something on Mac - there are versions for Windows and Linux too, though
So try one - download some of your favourite zip files, and browse away. You don't even have to unzip the image sets - just open the zips using the software - which has got to make storage a bit neater.
Enjoy the full screen goodness, and the use of your newly freed hand ;)
