Australian eastern time would be 17 hours ahead of California time. If it is 12 noon in Calif. on Tuesday, it is 5 AM Wednesday in Sydney.

As for the forum time, I see at the bottom of the forum pages that "All times are PT (US)", not Oz time.

the only reason i was a little bit concerned about the time being "off" by 40 minutes or so, is cuz somehwere on this site it's mentioned that if a user's time isnt consistant with pt time then the user may lose access to the site. something like that, anyhow....my guess is it's in keeping with tracking policies and blah blah blah....either way, whomever's registering the server's time should bring it back to accurate before it gets 'off' too much more.
