A look back at 2015...Grump style!

I've been thinking about posting this for a while, and I'd better do it before we get too deep into 2016. I think 2015 was a good year for AW, with a nice mix of old favorites and new beauties, so this post will be about some of my favorites of 2015. I know not everyone will agree with my choices, so feel free to post yours; maybe I missed something that I need to check out!
Before I start: In many ways, 2015 was, for me, Mirai's year. But in an odd way, that works against my doing this list, because her shoots would be my favorites in every category and then some. So. assume that I recommend and adore every single Mirai shoot (because I do), and this list will cover everyone else.

Favorite Solo shoot (posing only): Christina. Not to be confused with Cristina R, though she's cute too. But Christina has so much going for her - she's geeky, cute, funny, and sexy. (Those glasses!) And she likes cats and nude beaches! And she also gets my vote for "AW Model I Want To See More Of In 2016 (one shoot only division)". Please?

Favorite Solo shoot (with orgasm): Maia. There was some tough (and hot) competition, but Maia wins out. She's very sweet and has a delightful body, and I have a weakness for solo shoots that start with the girl getting off - I love thinking that they're almost as excited as we are.

Favorite IM (solo): Livia V. Kirsa's came close, but Livia is just so much fun to watch. She also gets my vote for "AW Model I Want To See More Of In 2016 (many shoots already division)", and it looks like there are more shoots with her on the way!

Favorite DIM: I liked Amalia and Remie's DIM very much, but I just had to go back to the start of the year for Caisa and Noa. The chemistry! The cuteness! The moment when things kick in between them!

Favorite GG: Tough call, but I finally went with Caisa and Laney. Sometimes, blondes do have more fun.

Playdate Partner of the Year: Well, there's no such thing as a bad Playdate (technical issues aside). But as wonderful as they have been, I'll still put two just a bit ahead of the others - Laney, because she always tries to do something a bit different and new each time, and Lotte, because she's so sweet and naughty.

AW Moment of the Year: I have to mention the runners-up - Laney's Amsterdam trip, and her epic moment with Mirai - but like I suspect everyone here thinks, I have to give it to the threesome with Billie T, Flora and Lulu. Beautifully shot, and it was nice to see all three models play together but let each one get their moment. I don't know if I'd want to see a steady diet of threesomes, but I'd be happy with one or two a year. I should mention here that during her recent Playdate, Maia was disappointed that she didn't get invited to the threesome, so I'm pulling to get her in the next one. Preferably with Caisa and Livia.

AW Model of the Year: Great shoots, great Playdates, a great forum presence...in my mind, it has to be Laney.

But even if I didn't mention you here, I want to thank all of the cute, sexy, amazing women who were part of AW in 2015! And thank you to Masie, Misha, Yvette, Izzy, Garion and everyone else behind the scenes who make AW so much fun!

Now to see what 2016 brings...which reminds me, I have a shoot with Laney and Ella to peek at.

Thank so much for this Grump - I used to do a run down of the year during the Christmas break via Picture Of The Day but this year we were straight back to shooting so I just carried on as usual.

Part of that is because, oddly enough...I feel a bit guilty. There are so many AW models I left out who brought a smile to my face (and a few other things) last year. Longtime models Jada and Anahi and Renae...newcomers like Bobbie and Tiffany and Rosie D...Thais and Elisa and Ivanna and more... There aren't enough hours in the day to watch every AW model, but all of them are sexy and fantastic. And I want to give all of them their props, and not leave them feeling bad because I left them out.

Masie, thanks! I know I didn't get all the highlights, but I think I found enough to show how great a year 2015 was for AW. I'd love to hear some of yours! And that goes for you too, Bigpapi!

And Maia...thanks for the kind words but really, it's hard to go wrong with any combination of three AW women. And Caisa is also very funny as well as sweet and sexy; check out her DIM with Noa. This is so nice, Grump! As you know, I did one of these year-in-review threads last year and I'm glad to see you continuing the tradition. I love seeing AW and how much people enjoy it being put into words, whether in Masie's raves or comments on the boards or (narcissism alert!) re-reading my own posts. I don't know if I could pick favorites in the all the categories: girl-girl alone would be something like a 52-way tie. So instead, here are some general themes that I thought made 2015 another wonderful year for Abbyland and show what the site is all about.

* Friendship. As we all know, AW is a place where all the models are treated with kindness and respect and encouraged to be themselves and experience as much pleasure as possible. That not only makes for beautiful shoots, but leads lots of models to recommend the AW experience to their friends, which makes me so happy. Lots of goregous new models said they got in on the fun this year after hearing how awesome AW is from a friend. After being recruited by her sweet pals Willa and Maely, incredibly pretty Bobbie has since brought her BFFs Zina and Bryn on board (and says she's working on others!). Beloved shooter Nichole (more on her below) invited her absolutely gorgeous friend Livia (I definitely second Grump's call for more Livia this year!). And the epic threesome featured AW legend Flora playing with her lovely housemate Billie.

* Returning favorites. Another way to tell that AW is an awesome experience for the models is that they often come back for more or travel far and wide to be part of the site. Radiant beauties from Europe like Yara and Maia seem to find themselves back at HQ on a regular basis, which is so nice, and it's especially lovely when returning to AW requires a long journey or many years to make happen. Our dear Nichole took a few years off to complete a master's degree related to porn before coming back to us as a shooter and to do dazzling shoots where she had sex with (deep breath) Beatrix, Caisa, Zina, Ophie and Laney. The last two gorgeous girls on that list joined Ella, Billie and Katherine in coming to Amsterdam all the way from Australia, bringing joy to longtime AW fans, particularly Katherine, whose return marked six years (!!) since we last saw her beautiful face. And lots of incredible women visited AW from Canada this year, including Bobbie's circle of friends and absolutely lovable Mila, one of my 2014 highlights who brightened my 2015 by returning for more shoots. And we cannot forget our darling Masie's on-camera return (with a helping hand from Misha!).

* First times. I've said lots of times that sharing a model's first time having sex with a girl is one of my favorite things on AW. The girls who invited us to join them as they explored their sexuality this year deserve as much love as we can give them. Cute and voluptuous Carmen lost her girl virginity to Beatrix in a shoot where it was abundantly clear Carmen had found a new favorite activity, and she confirmed in a later solo that after she returned home to Spain, she started having sex with all of her female friends. Elegantly pretty Billie was welcomed into world of girl-girl with amazing orgasms by sweet, gifted Bobbie, while Mirai made AW history by having her very first sexual experience of any kind with Laney, a beautiful shoot to treasure forever.

* Playdate magic. It is a simply a joy to chat live with models and get to know what charming, intelligent people they are, then share some sexy fun. We got to meet Yara's puppy, learn about Nichole's academic studies, see Lulu find a new use for her karaoke machine, and admire Maia's sexy Santa suit, among many other delightful memories.

* I know I'm leaving out scores of sexy adventures from another fantastic year at AW. But all the models and shooters should rest assure that just about everything on the site made me wonderfully happy. I hope by writing these lengthy reviews, I'm able to convey some sense of how much I appreciate everyone involved in AW, the sexiest site on earth!
