"Lovely Lezzies" list? What are the criteria?

I don't want to start the whole "are they bi" issue up again, but I'm a bit confused. As "Lovely Lezzies" is a public rather than a personal list, I assume that means it's being maintained by the AW staff. There doesn't seem to be any commentary, so what are the criteria for inclusion? Are these models who are fully lesbian, i.e. no boys, never, nohow, no way?

Personally, I'm all in favor of more real-life couples because I think the chemistry comes through; and as AW doesn't do boy-girl shoots any more, that necessarily means lesbian couples. So I'm naturally curious...

Wrong. Please read our List FAQ, esp. the first part which explains the three (not two) types of lists there are.

ALL site-supported (staff maintained) lists can be found under the Lists menu, the three items starting with 'Site' shows you the relevant site-supported lists. All other public lists are the responsibility of whomever created the list.

i think he's justified since he THOUGHT the list was maintained by staff he just wanted to know if the title was acurate. its not maintained by staff so it doesnt HAVE to be acurate and your problem should be with the person who made the list

I don't judge one better than the next. As I already explained to you, I'm looking for real, romantically-involved couples and -- on a site that doesn't do het sex any more -- I might find them on a list labeled "lesbians." If there were a list labeled "real couples," I wouldn't have asked.

My more politically vociferous lesbian friends in San Francisco would definitely prefer to see 100% lesbians rather than bi girls or essentially-straight girls having sex with other essentially-straight girls for the sake of the modeling fee. The idea of sex with men turns their stomachs. I'm not among them, but you have to admit that there are reasons for asking.

Plugh, many girls have reasons for being with another girl on this site, but to do it just for the fee I don't think is one of them. The staff at AW has rigorous screening process, just ask Sue-Ann she helps with it. I want to apologize if my last post sounded too harsh, but I think a model's preference is not something for any of us to judge, perhaps considering going to some of their threads and talking to them about it.

Nope, I have to say I haven't seen anybody who seemed uncomfortable to do the GG content, whatever her supposed orientation.

However, I can definitely tell the difference between a pair who met recently and a pair who are partners. Clearly I should have never mentioned the word "lesbian," because that distracted people from the real issue. I'm looking for couples, full stop. Hetero, homo, or bio, it doesn't matter.

Cleo, the reason you can't see the difference is that you haven't politicized your sex life. Some folks have. To them, going to bed is a political act, and there are fine shades of meaning. Give me time and I'll find you a woman who won't sleep with anybody but committed Marxists.

Oh right, I see the distinction now- I have to confess I sometimes don't have much time for people who politicize their sexuality to that extent. I remember a college acquaintance who was very involved in student politics and was almost incapable of even introducing herself without referring to the fact she was gay ('Hello I'm XXXX and I'm a lesbian....') I always got the impression that for her, her sexuality was almost something to put on her CV in order to help establish her political credentials rather than something to take pleasure from. More than one of my friends suspected that she was essentially-straight but playing the part because she thought it would be good for her image politically.....

I can certainly see why you'd want to see someone who is genuinely lesbian or bi in a G-G scene, rather than someone who clearly isn't but is just going through the motions for the sake of the modelling fee, something that thankfully, I don't think we'll ever see here at AW.

Im with cleo i dont think it really matters whether a girl is 100% lesbian or bi. Im bi and i do enjoy sex with both sexs. They both have diff pros and cons. I enjoy them equally and even though ive choosen a male to be my husband i have previously had girlfriends and im comfortable with both. I still have sex with girls even though im with my partner coz i enjoy both so much and he obviously doesnt have any probs with me and another girl I think 100% lesbians may be better at sex then someone who is first time with a girl. And i think it would be really nice to see some real couples moddeling for AW coz i know its sometimes hard to get each other off because your not experience with each other. So im all for real gg couples

That is very true. In the 60's-80's feminists had to work really hard to get people to see women as whole people and not just as sex symbols, and to take women seriously in the workplace and politics. I'm all for that. But in spite of that, I think women's bodies are "about" sex somehow -- the image of a naked woman just says "sex" in a way that a naked man doesn't, and both sexes know it.

When I see the female Olympic athletes in their tight clothing I try to concentrate on their training, their endurance, their skill, their strength... but I can't help thinking that I bet they could give somebody one hell of a seeing-to in bed.
