    My new grandson

I am now a grandfather as my daughter gave birth to her first child last Tuesday (March 18th).....a 9 pound, 2 ounce baby boy.(4kg 139.03 g). He was 20 inches long (52.705 cm). I wasn't sure if it was okay to post a picture of him here, so I thought I'd ask first before posting his picture. Is it okay to post his picture? I don't want to break any rules here, so I'm asking first before posting his picture. I figure that what he looks like now will change by next week, so even though people will see what he looks like today, won't be what he looks like a week from now.

Mrpinkeyes, that's why I decided to ask first before posting his picture. I asked because I think that most of the beautiful ladies here would like to see his picture. (it seems that most women love to see a newborn baby's pictures.)

Well, to be honest, I don't relate well to kids, so I won't be interacting with him that much. Also, I only see my daughter a few times a year anyway, so I'll probably see him maybe 4 times a year. I'm not the grandfatherly type....that is, I don't pick up kids and hold them, or let them sit in my lap. I prefer to let others do that and just watch them from a distance. Last week when I was at my daughter's house, several times she asked me if I wanted to hold the baby and I politely said no. I'll most likely see him grow up from the pictures my daughter will occasionally send me, and that's fine with me.

My daughter and her husband are very happy though, and I'm happy for them. They know I'm here for them and I'd do anything to help them.

Thanks Fran! I had a feeling that pictures of kids wouldn't be allowed on a porn site, but I just wanted to make sure.

Congratulations Dekoda! Grandparenthood is a great experience! I have two granddaughter, one of whom turns 1 year old this month, and the other one likewise next month.
Seeing them develop over their first year has been a great thrill, and I'm sure you have much joy in store.

Thanks for all of the congrats, but I don't really think that I deserve them. As I've mentioned, I am not the grandfatherly type. I don't relate to kids....I am not comfortable around kids, so I will never hold my grandson, I will never let him sit on my lap, I will never take him anywhere (like the zoo or to the park), and if I am at my daughter's house, I won't pay any attention to him. I am NOT a kid person as I don't like being around other people's kids....even if it's my grandson.....he is not MY kid, so to me, he is someone else's kid. If I visit my daughter in the coming years and her son tries to climb up in my lap, then I will stop visiting my daughter so as to avoid situations like that. I don't like kids trying to involve me in their life....I am NOT a kid person.

To me, I will be happy if my daughter, who is a professional photographer, would just send me photos of her son from time to time. To me, that would be the best way to see him grow up....through pictures. At least that way, I won't have to interact with him.
