Can you get turned on by lesbians?

I'm wondering how many guys can get turned on by watching videos and pics of naked women if they know they are lesbians? Not bisexual, but 100% lesbians? Can you still get excited enough to masturbate? Personally, I find it very difficult, but not impossible. What about the rest of you?

hmm, what the girl's sexual preferences are don't make any difference at all to me, why would it? just enjoy the show as they present it, their looks and presence in the pictures or video is all that matters, not who they are or aren't wanting to sleep with on their own time

Aren't we all hardwired to see a beautiful woman, esp. with a great personality (or any woman sometimes! ), and then basically go a bit crazy? Well, most of us men. I don't think a woman's sexual preferences matter but I can see how it might. My biggest turnoff, which does happen though hopefully never on AW, would be for said woman to pretend otherwise. People shouldn't be doing things they're not comfortable/enjoying doing. I'm easily turned off if I even suspect that's the case. Could be something similar for you?

I'd have to agree with Laktor....two women getting it on, turns me off. I realize that I rarely look at the models photo shoots or videos here, so maybe my opinion doesn't count. I'm sure this sounds odd coming from a man, but I don't subscribe to this site for the pictures, I subscribe for the forums.....I have no interest in looking at the photo shoots or videos, unless someone in the forums comments about one, so then I may look at that one, but that rarely happens. I enjoy reading the various forum threads, and my link to this site doesn't take me to the home page, it takes me to the forums.

I have no problem with a woman who is a 100% lesbian, because it's her life to lead, and it's none of my business. If she makes it known that she is 100% lesbian, that doesn't mean that I will like her any less, it just means that I am not interested in looking at pictures or videos of her having sex with another woman. Actually, now that I think about it, it wouldn't matter if she was a lesbian or not as I have no interest in looking at any pictures of the ladies here. It has nothing to do with the ladies here, it's just that after making tens of thousands of scans over the years, editing them, and posting them to the newsgroups, I am burnt out from porn. To me, one porn picture looks the same as the next, so I have become numb to porn.(yes, believe it or not, that does happen if you are exposed to an excessive amount of porn.)

Oh, and no, I don't masturbate anymore since the meds I now take make it impossible to do, so no big loss there.(It's hell getting old).

Nice topic, laktor! And hi, it feels like it's been a while since I've seen you on the forums. :-) Anyway, I sort of get what you mean: there can be a certain barrier when it comes to suspension of disbelief. It sort of depends on your own likes, as well - I imagine someone who just likes to watch would have an easier time getting off whilst watching two 100% lesbians getting it on than someone who has to imagine an active part in the scenario - though that's just a stab in the dark on my part, potential pun not intended. ;-)

Just to invert the example, I've never really thought about what my response in that sense would be to a video of a 100% gay male couple would be... I do remember watching a very lovely one Liandra shot about two years ago, and thinking that it was beautiful. Thinking back on it, I feel like any masturbation on my part (if I had at the time, which I don't think I did) would have been just sort of lazy, without actually aiming to get off. I'll admit that I don't really masturbate to porn much; it's a once in a blue moon thing for me. But I do know that in order to make a masturbatory fantasy work, I do need to feel a certain level of credibility. There's no way I could masturbate over someone whom I knew not to be attracted to me, for example.

Deke, it's nice that some people still hang out for the sake of the forums. :-) We're certainly glad to have you, I'm always happy to hear from you. What I do find interesting that you seem to find the girl-girl stuff an active turn-off. Care to expand on that? I'm just really curious, is all. :-) Or is it to do with the numbness from porn you mention? I do find that interesting, actually. I'm guessing it's one of those things one can overdose on... I know I have done that, although that was with video games, not porn! X-D

    Hi Immie!

The reason I stay a member here is because, well, I like the forums and everyone here. Also, years ago when I first met Abby online, she would frequent the newsgroup where I posted my scans. The newsgroup ended up starting an mIRC channel and I used to chat with her on our mIRC channel. She told me that she was thinking of starting a porn site, so I told her that I thought it was an excellent idea as I had seen some of her photographic work. I told her that I would support her website, no matter what. At first, she gave me free access to this site, but eventually, I told her that she wasn't in business to give free access to the site to idiots like me, so I subscribed to the site so that I could support it. I will always support this site, even though Abby is no longer working for the site.(I wish her well wherever she is.)

As to the girl-girl stuff, well, I know I'll be in the minority here, but girl-girl, like guy-guy, isn't what I consider to be normal sex. I hope that this in no way offends anyone, as that is not my intent, but it seems as though it's encouraged here to "cheat" on your boyfriend by having sex with another woman....as if having sex with another woman isn't really cheating, since you aren't having sex with another guy. I know that a lot of the woman who have a first time experience here with another woman say that they found it to be great and exciting and enjoyable. The thing is, if the woman didn't have a boyfriend, but instead, was a lesbian and had a girlfriend, how would that make the girlfriend feel? It just seems to me that the fact that the woman isn't a lesbian makes it okay to have sex with another woman, since that isn't considered "cheating." I just think that it should be a man and a woman, or just the woman alone....anything else and I'm not interested.

Oh, and yes, you are right, part of it is due to me being burnt out on porn. When I was scanning from magazines and posting the edited scans to the newsgroups, we'd get newbies who said that they had bought a flatbed scanner and wanted to start scanning and posting also. Those of us who had been doing it for a while would tell the person that they should be aware of certain drawbacks if they decide to do this. One is that they will never look at a porn magazine the same way again. Instead of looking at the models, they would begin to look at the quality of the paper of the magazine, the bleed through of the pages, the color over or under saturation of the pictures. You no longer look at the models, but you are more interested in how hard it would be to scan and edit the pictures. To me, that was the challenge....to make the picture look better than it did in the magazine. After years of scanning, and tens of thousands of scans, I got burnt out....as many of the scanners did. Now, I prefer to just scan and restore family and friends old pictures, which was the reason I started scanning in the first place.

    Anyway, I hope I didn't offend anyone....if I did, then I apologize.

Deke, it's funny you should bring up speaking to Abby in the pre-Abbyland days, considering a recent bitch session I started about the artistic direction. XD But I'm leaving that one alone.

As for the "normal" sex thing regarding homosexuality, and the context of sexual preference: I see what you're getting at. For starters, if you define "normal", it's generally "middle of the bell curve", meaning "statistically the most common". By that definition, yes, gay and lesbian sex is not "normal" sex. To question whether it is "real" sex is another matter. For the sake of simplicity, I would consider "real" sex to be anything which is in line with the sexual preferences of the people involved. That does a fairly elegant job of not limiting it to the procreative model of Penis In Vagina sex (which I am still extremely fond of, just to be clear). And yes, by that definition, one could question how "real" a lot of the sex in porn is; even on Abby, as we have had a few straight girls over the years who did girl-girl shoots. But that just sort of showcases how blurry the boundaries can be.

A related issue, I think, would be the homosexual performance by two heterosexual people in order to titillate another potential heterosexual partner; whether this is in the sense of two girls kissing on the dance floor for male attention, to a gay pairing on porn being purely for money, and purely for the gratification of someone who is of the opposite sex of the performers. I like to think Abby is more than that, though. This is even with our straight GG contributors - Abby makes enough of a point of building friendships and relationships within the working environment that it is still meaningful, even if it doesn't match the contributor's sexual preference. For it to be purely a show motivated by money strikes me as a bit demeaning, actually, as some might (incorrectly) use this to question the "realness" of gay sex. And I do get the impression that that's sort of the issue you're alluding to, Deke. Based on that, I really wouldn't be able to get off on videos of gay sex, whichever gender was involved. But I think that's also very applicable to het porn. The whole point is that we want a point of reality in our sex scenes on Abby, because otherwise, why bother?

It's also kind of funny how you bring up the technical side of porn, and how it can take away from your enjoyment of the content. Being a videographer myself, I have been known to get more excited about a TV series (Hello, Downton Abbey!) based on the cinematography, long before the story draws me in. In the first Season of True Blood, during a very emotional sadsack scene, I found myself much more taken in by the camera work, and mentally checking off what sort of lenses were being used. That being said, I still love TV. It's a synergy.

Laktor, i never really thought about it that way, until now. I just enjoy watching females in the act of sex in general, be it alone or two females...(preferably the girly-feminine type, AW style ) This wasn't always the case. I also used to enjoy all the mainstream stuff out there, including B/G until i stumbled on the " "Girlfriends " series some 20 years ago and to my astonishment the G/G and masturbation material has been my preference ever since and never looked back.It was like tasting chocolate for the first time...almost like i had an epiphany.Maybe there is more to this, i can't explain it myself. It's similar to having to try to explain why some people get off on feet, peeing, anus shots/ sex, S&M etc. or all the other likes and dislikes that exist out there.I guess it can never be clearly explained...we're all so different in many aspects and that's what makes the world go 'round.

laktor, fairenough question, if your fantasies are about getting busy with who youre watching. Im abit different to most guys, haven't wanted a date in 14 years, been busy with other things. So when I see gorgeous girls, I just love it, I don't see them as Im missing out cause theyre lesbians and don't want me. I just don't care, just love the beauty of the girls Im watching. But if you fantisise about a girl you are watching, and she would never have a bar of you, that would be off putting. I just love to watch all the amazing girls here. They are all so pretty I cant belive my luck for finding this place.

If the women are good looking and their is some sort of chemistry to the video, I don't really care if they are 100% lesbian or bi-sexual. It's the reason I've joined AW off and on over the past 9 years, as I think they have the best girl/girl videos around.

Thanks everyone for the feedback on this issue. Great to read all the comments. And hi right back at you, Immie. Haven't posted too much this year as I've been busy and haven't had much free time. Glad to hear you are a fan of Downton Abbey and True Blood. I love both shows and spend way too many hours catching up on tv...hence not much time spent here.
