one of my artists I really wish I got into earlier
now listening to: the presets live concert at melbourne, a girlfriend just called me and held the phone up for me to hear. usually I despise those tools that spend the concert waving their phones around and not enjoying the concert, but for those of us at home, its quite enjoyable
I'm still watching The L Word, Dollhouse (new Joss Whedon series), and UK music quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Just read Twilight and the Dexter series on the weekendLast edited by anabela; 19 May 2009, 12:35 PM.

Currently reading The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress (Robert Heinlein.)
This book is a masterpiece!! I'm only halfway through, but I'm already in love with the fascinating characters, witty dialogue, interesting atmosphere, and fantastic plot. It ranks up there with The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Ender's Game in terms of "you MUST read this" sci-fi.

Tired of wearing the Devil mask...
Listening: Fischerspooner "Entertainment" esp. the tracks "Amuse Bouche", "Door Train Home" and "We Are Electric"
Reading:
The Romance of the Rose
The Last One- a graphic novel/comic written by J.M. DeMatteis and illustrated by Dan Sweetman (Put out by BOOM! Studios who are re-releasing a lot of DeMatteis's work- Seekers into the Mystery, The Stardust Kid- which is great as he's an underrated talent).
(Re)Watching:
LOST s5
FRINGE s1
Dollhouse s1 (then I'm going to reappraise the whole Buffy series- start to finish).
Watching:
Breaking Bad s1,2
I was a bit slow getting into this one. Bryan Cranston is a genuine talent. Amazing. Anna Gunn is also very good. I think the character of Hank is nicely done. He could have been a totally polarised caricature but the writers nicely step around that by adding a bit of nuance. I really like that- I abhor cartoonish black/white treatment of personalities. I like a bit of depth and shading with my stories. AMC seem to be doing some really great things these last few years. They've also redone THE PRISONER for a release this year. Should be interesting.Last edited by DonDraper; 3 June 2009, 12:30 PM.

I bought some new CDs this week, so I'm listening to the Pretenders, Ladyhawke, and the Manic Street Preachers. When I'm done here I'll read my Sunday paper, though I've got Alex Garland's "The Tesseract" on the go as my commuting book at the moment.

"Out 1", obscure 13 hour long French film from the early '70s. I know, pretty weird. But it's a really good film (and it would want to be! :P).

Generally right now I've got the Abbywinters tuned into my browser. hee-hee But alot of times when I'm Web surfing I may have the radio on. I have an HD radio tuner in my office here on which I usually have local news/talk, in beautiful digital clarity. While in the car I'm usually bumpin' loud with the current hip-hop stations, those too in HD digital.
Books, you'll usually catch me reading autobiographies, satire, non-fiction or if it's fiction maybe Carl Sagan.
TV show, Family Guy & Cops.
Movies, science fiction, comedy or something in IMAX.

Sundays at 2:PM to 6:PM Eastern time- Leo Laporte, THE Tech Guy. Topics of discussion: anything technical, from cellphones to motherboards, from home theater to GPS units. I'd recommend that show to all the computer geeks lurking about our boards as well as Anne K because she's into computers, for some enlightening and insightful talk radio. 970wfla dot com

Listening The Poet And The Pendulum by Nightwish.
Excellent song which give me chills every time I hear it, especially I like the boy soprano's part in it. Real symphony orchestra makes it sound very good, it is kind of mini rock symphony.

Just what is so good about Harry Potter, The Twilight Books, etc.? I don't get it. I admit I haven't tried reading these books, but it wasn't long ago that I was intrigued by The Other Boleyn Girl and bought the paperback to read. The reviews are phenomenal on amazon.com....mostly all 5 star ratings by the readers. Couldn't put it down, the best historical fiction novel I have ever read, etc....After the first 75 or so pages, I quit. It was just sooooooo boring, I couldn't continue reading. How can anyone enjoy reading this stuff? I can't bring myself to try the Potter or Twilight series...I just can't.
