Chloe B definitely a possibility... not sure I could keep up with her. Plus there's that whole "barracks for Geelong" issue

Going back in to the archives a bit, I'd say either Anthea or Paula. Anthea I actually met briefly in real life. In the Emirates uniform she'd been dreaming of for so long. Quite lovely and very tall! As it happens, Paula actually grew up just near me, though quite a few years younger.

Yeah, impossible choices! They are surely the greatest abbygirls, who could inspire anyone to propose matrimony, More recent models I'd include are Annabelle Lee, Hayley F, Kylie H, Edie, Gretchen, Nichole, Masie, Dahlia, ...
    See the trouble.

Hard to limit it to one girl, but probably Gretchen. She's so intelligent and interesting, and I love her body. I wouldn't get bored with her very easily.

    Marriage Is So Problematic

Just a few of decades ago, the reaction to clips like the AbbyWinters Dual-Intimate-Moments and/or Girl-Girl videos would have been shock, disbelief and (for some) outrage - but now - they're the best thing going on in the world of sexuality. Today we have intelligent, free-thinking women choosing more and more to align themselves with same-minded people who can also happen to be other women.

Please note - this is not a complaint - just an observation - but it's really not a great time for men. Technically speaking, men are not even needed for a woman to become pregnant. There was a recent best-seller on the NYTimes list by columnist Maureen Dowd, "Are Men Necessary?". The rhetorical question would appear to have been answered, "...uhhh... no." What really gave legitimacy to the gay-marriage movement was the throngs of women who insisted on their right to be married to women - the whole gay-guy impetus was not really the big factor in legislatures adopting a more tolerant definition of marriage.

Now, after centuries of it truly being a man's world, the balance of power between men and women has been decidedly tipped in favor of women. Funny thing though, I applaud this shift because, in so many ways, the world needs more of what women bring to the table and less and less of what men would provide. Women have a 'rule by consensus' approach to solving problems - whereas men are still working on the hierarchy/pecking-order model they've had since day one. But I digress... so onto my point...

Marriage is so problematic because women have given up none of the "No means No - and until I say YES, the implication is NO!" turf. So men, now aware of how they are not really necessary, are often rocked back on their heels in defense.

To come clean, at one time I was married - am not married now - and will never re-marry because it just no longer makes sense for me. But I sure can appreciate the lovely girls and women of AbbyWinters who have brought their delicious gifts of beauty, youth, libido, joy, fun, and play to here - so I can have a respite from the day and imagine the good moments of a relationship with a woman - and skip the bummouts from missed and crossed communications that are guaranteed to arise in a marriage; and for THAT, I am so thankful.

The question of WHICH AbbyWinters model I WOULD marry - were that possible in some parallel universe - cannot be answered. I find that from day to day, different people have vastly different appeal - I do have a list of favorite models - and this is by no means a complete chart - but - in ABSOLUTELY NO PARTICULAR order - for me, some of the most interesting women on AbbyWinters include:

    • Laria
    • Laura P
    • Renae D
    • Esra
    • Fenna
    • Gretchen
    • Julia B
    • Kaitlin
    • Kandice
    • Kara D
    • Rose D
    • Violet
    • Grisel
    • Brandy

(Apologies to the zillions of ALSO INTERESTING WOMEN on AW who are not part of that short list)

notarysojac, thank you for your thoughtful post. I think it certainly shows the fact that marriage and relationships are extremely complex, and even with the discussion boards, we cannot know what our compatibility with each other would be. I'm assuming this thread was started as a bit of light-hearted fun, though. Anyway, I will refrain from throwing a bunch of statistics at you to point out how feminism still has a long way to go, women are still battling for equality, male privilege persists, and so on. I get tired of this conversation, too. Yes, in some senses, women have the advantage, but it doesn't come anywhere close to making up for the disadvantages, though I will also note that within the western world itself, that varies. Having lived in America, I actually think inequality is a bigger issue here than in, say, Denmark. But again, topic for a different thread. :-) At the end of the day, it's probably best not to take the us-and-them approach, and realise we're all in this together. If we quibble about who has the advantage over whom, I doubt we'll get anywhere. In the name of that, I would like to pay lip service to both my favourite models, and my favourite members.

Personally, being the old-timer I am, there are some girlies from the olden days I would consider massively marriage-able. My all-time favourite is the super-sexy, super-cool, and quirkily hilarious Fotina. But it was only upon meeting her that I began to feel that way; there are some things which the camera and the message boards just don't capture. :-) Giselle will also always remain special to me. While I haven't met her, her backstage vid with the gorgeous and womanly Anneke was possibly the best I have ever seen. :-D I also still retain a crush on the beautiful Keilyn. I think I shall have to go watch that beautiful solo of hers in the checkered dress in that windswept field... the video was gorgeous, and Keilyn herself is a delightful kook. And honourable mention also goes to Kylie H's beau, Marcus F, who is in the top five of the nicest people I have ever met. Kylie herself is nothing to be sneered at, either. :-D

As for the members, I so miss the wonderful and feisty wannadance. That lady introduced me to the euphemism "bejabba", and I still use it. :-D sweatyfox is also one of our loveliest presences on the message boards, and I'm still happy to see him around. I sort of miss FloridaRob, though in some ways, I feel that wolfgangbuster does Rob's old job as a message board presence. :-) I also feel that these days, there aren't enough charmingly weathered Scotsmen on the forums, which is why I miss tom and Breezer.

    Hello Immie,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply to my post. BTW - You needn't throw in a bunch of stats as I pretty much agree with the basic tenets of your position. Besides - I'd always rather argue IDEAS versus NUMBERS - like they say, "There are lies, damned lies and then there are statistics". Oh - and I do so agree with your resistance to avoid the vilification of "them others".

With regards 'Fotina' - I concur that whatever may be the attractive aspects of her personality - they have not translated well thru the process of also being an AW model - odd, but she does not stand out all that much. However, I will take another, closer look - thank you. Also, 'Gisele' is definitely some sort of royal descendant from some lovely kingdom in the clouds - the lady exudes class above all else. 'Anneke' is like the unofficial uber-sexy-den-Mom for AW - in a class all by herself. 'Markus F' should get a special medal for his willingness to be in that remarkable DIM with 'Kylie H' - it's surprising there are not more of that mix of G/B funstuff - further testament to his pioneering bravery.

With regards my short list of 'faves' - it could easily have been four times longer - but I decided to just arbitrarily stop adding to it as it was.

Thanks again for your response - and don't worry about women and equality - you KNOW you've won the battle - and the war can't be far behind - when women post an invite to hear from men on sites like CL - and things like (see below) get sent to them in eMail.

notary, Fotina's awesomeness is more obvious in the backstage vids. There is one moment in the one for the Wrestling Girls vid in which she comes out in her wrestling garb. In response to one of the other girls' assessment of "Oh, you look gorgeous!" she grumbles, "I look like a Roman soldier." That quirky sense of humour is what gets me about Fotina. That's also why I miss the old backstage videos, because they were, in my book, the most real representation of the girls' personalities. Still, the before and after videos for the girl/girl shoots give some insight. As for Marcus, well, he is certainly not the first man to appear on AW, but the DIM, I suppose, was unique in its own way. That being said, one of Abby's sister companies has started a very beautifully shot male masturbation site (I'm refraining from posting the URL, because I don't know it that's kosher), though I don't know if there have been any male/female crossovers yet. I am in love with it nonetheless, because it again helps bridge the gap between men and women in the world of erotica, and I think that's actually very important. While mainstream porn frequently gives an absolutely awful image of women, men don't come away looking much better. Sites like Abby have helped very much with creating a more positive image of females in explicitly sexual contexts, but men could use a little more representation, and I have been delighted to see that starting to happen.

I think it's still a huge exaggeration to say that women have won the "battle" for equality. It's more a case of slowly inching along, gaining ground, and while it's encouraging, it's nowhere near time to stop striving. The female advantage in the online dating game is an extremely poor measure of equality, in my humble opinion. To say that sort of implies that sex and sexual power or lack thereof is all there is to humans, and we both know that's not true. And I don't think receiving a facetious "extreme close-up" is any sort of proof of equality or respect, either. A much better example would be receiving some polite and thoughtful discourse, in which respect and acknowledgement of personhood are obvious.

Anyway, I'm hijacking the thread again, so I'll leave it at that. Carry on, folks.

I miss them too. They were full of surprise. Some models were very fun in them.
Now, in the interviews, the models aren't moving and are always asking the same questions.

Quite so, redlabka. That's actually why I prefer the "after" videos in the current format, because they are less structured. The questions tend to be a little more specific to what has happened, although I'm sure they repeat themselves, too. It's a shame, really, as it suggests that perhaps things have gotten a touch formulaic.
