WELL DONE THE MATILDAS!
I've followed them for years and this is the best team yet. Into the quarter finals and hopefully they can go all the way. They certainly have all the skills and the heart to do so.
Watch women play and you will see the real football - the way it was intended to be played. Generally speaking there is:
No diving.
No acting and rolling around on the ground in feigned agony.
No arguing, No surrounding the referee pushing and complaining.
No time wasting.
No defensive walls. Teams are always looking to attack.
But there are plenty of excellent skills on display and plenty of aggression and determination.
There are two differences in football between the men and women:
1. The men are stronger and thus mostly more powerful and faster.
2. The men get paid obscene amounts of money and too many have inflated egos.
