A father figure. Maybe you didn't have one, who knows?

i know its said one shouldn't mix sex and politics but there's no helping some people, so in for a penny...

anyone can achieve whatever they want the only person stopping them doing that is themselves.
never seek self improvement to the detriment of others what goes around comes around and it will bite you on the arse if you stoop to that level.

Quite a thread Gracie started here a couple of years ago!

I haven't read a single post beyond the opening one but I'm sure that some of them addressed feminism as it relates to modeling, largely for the pleasure of the opposite sex.

My "take" on that is that I'd like to believe and hope it's true that models here are doing what they are doing first, and foremost, for their own satisfaction and enjoyment, not for that of anyone else. I further hope that money isn't the sole motivation. That would be most sad, of course. Almost everyone who has appeared here certainly looks to be having fun, at least, and, well, multiple orgasms, at most. They seem to be forging true friendship with staff and other models and even a few of the subscribers.

Thus, this becomes the epitome of the practice of feminism, self-determination, and individual freedom.

One more perspective is that the effect of this site is to promote awareness among men that women are not just sex objects but are "real people", to be appreciated and treated respectfully, Additionally, it serves the feminist ideal of having men more completely educated and understanding of female sexuality in all it's flavors.

Gosh! We're having fun, learning things, exchanging a little money, and promoting feminist goals all at the same time!

        "Abbyville University"! "For women only"

Well, the question then is what you mean by a father figure. I suppose you mean something more than a just a father (which most boys have regardless of the effects of feminism), because otherwise I don’t see how its absence could be a consequence of feminism’s “emasculation of the male parental role”.

So I went to see Showgirls in the cinema and felt guilty standing in line,as if anyone was looking at me and thinking, what a pervert,
A couple of years ago,I went to the cinema, the film i went to see is irrelevant (king kong) but while I was queuing up I noticed across the way the brokeback mountain queue were all teen girls, excluding the ones who were fans of the director and the ones who heard abour the stunning cinematography, heres my question, were they perverts ? because it's obvious why they are there.

Back to the F word. When my son was in his teens, (he's 32 now) I constantly worked to stop his use of it. He told me the girls used it more than the guys. I started listening to the conversations on the street and he was right. Now it seems its normal in teens speech patterns. I guess I'm old school, but don't consider it proper in polite society.

                    well, i love it.

i don't use it around anyone who might be offended or strangers or anything. up until i became a respiratory therapist in 1981 (hospital was so desperate, they hired people like me who had science degrees and then paid for all our schooling and for taking the national exams. we all passed!), i hardly ever said damn or hell. six months into my mucho years as a bedside clinician, i was swearing like a sailor. and am hooked.

nothing releases tension quite like a big old FUCK...or one of its stepchildren.

as george carlin said, it's those aggressive 'ck' sounds that make it sound so bad.

                    i miss him. so badly.

Wow! I'm really impressed by this thread. Hadn't think I would find a discussion on feminism in this forum, and less I had expected to find such interesting comments! Therefore thank you to everyone for posting.
As for myself, I am a feminist, and very proud of it. When I was younger and influenced by second wave feminism I felt a conflict between my ideals and my needs... specially sexual needs. Back then I thought pornography was always denigrating towards women and so on. Then I was lucky enough to find other feminists with other views upon the subject; as others have already commented here, feminism can be about self-empowerment, self-definition and choice. Now I am happy to be able to decide for myself, and I work for not being patronized and/or victimized; not by society, not by family, not by other feminists...
There is a lot of interesting literature on the topic. Im right now reading this book... which I recommend, although it's already a little old... "hard core", by linda williams.
                          anyone else reading suggestions?

                          un beso

I am all for freedom of speech, people can say fuck , cunt, whatever, but when the word feminism comes on, that's when I draw the line. I believe in equal rights, and feminism, just the word, does not say equal rights. It is as stupid as if I was to say masculism as a movement. Just plain stupid. I have two daughters, and I have been preaching equal rights to them since they where born. I have taught them to fight, to stand up to guys, to be strong and get good education. To have top work ethics and do all they can to be their best in any job they have. I have taught them the stupidity of anyone getting a position based on sex and not on qualification. I have taught them the stupidity of calling a woman strong simply cause she is load. My kids know they are smart. They know they can do anything. So for us, feminism is dead, we just hate the word.

As for porn or stripping or prostitution, If women like to do it, let them. If they do it against their will, I would be the first to help them. But the only reason this is the only porn site I feel comfortable with, the only site I will ever pay money to, is that the girls here seems to be happy being here.
