Shaved girls

Is it just me or does anyone else miss girls with pubic hair? Now don't get me wrong, shaving is hot and I like it but I like the natural look too. It seems that there is a big trend nowadays towards shaved girls and I am beginning to miss pubic hair!!!

Anyone else have a thought?

Well, all I can say is that a lot - perhaps around 85% of the models that come to me, are shaved. I'm not sure if the people I photograph are a realistic slice of the population (stands to reason, they are probably predisposed to do "extraverted" things like shaving, I guess, if they are doing nude modelling).

Some might also feel the need to shave for the "special occasion" of being photographed (for plenty of the models, being shot by me is their first time). This is a particular problem for me, because when you shave full growth for the first time, you get the shaving rash from hell, and no amount of makeup can cover that.

You can tell the girls who shave (wax, whatever)regularly, they generally have little or no rash.

Most wimmin I speak to who do it claim it's because it makes them feel "cleaner", and that their partners like it. Some, in their more lucid moments, admit they shaved for being photographed by me, becasue they thought that's what my audience prefer.

Yup, generally, any time a hairy girl (even a little bit!) comes to me, i ask if they are willing to shave. Some are, and I usually try to capture it on film (or better, get their cute best friend to get naked and shave her!).

I much prefer the 'natural' look myself. The hairier down below the better for me. Don't particularly care for hairy thighs tho'.

Hey I Prefer bald "Tacos" not chickens. anyway I think they look better. Definitly smell better and they taste better. If you have ever heard the term taste saver in referring to a mans mustache well its the same with pubic hair. Hair retains odor and flavors. Once you remove the hair a womens smells and tastes better because when she wipes clean urine does not stay behind to soak into the hair wihich creates smell and bad taste and odor.

BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!. Make them all shave. By the way my girl and I find if she shaves with shaving cream and in the bath there no rash left.

I agree with Tig - but would also add always use a new blade,as this will relieve shaving rash almost completely. Girls who try it after doin' their 'pits will get it bad!!
I like shaving my girl after she has been soaking in the bath for awhile and her pubes are nice and soft,and use a shave gel.
She loves watching my facial expressions as I shave her pubes as I tend to concentrate hard on the task in hand!!

I prefer the natural look, don't shave!!!! However, as the old expression goes "it's your thing, do what you gotta do".

I like the natural musty fragrance of a hairy woman. It's VERY sexy. However, good hygiene is essential. My recommendation would be to keep the hair, it's attractive to me. I realize that opinions differ.

Keep your razor blade in rubbing alcohol (70% or more isopropyl alcohol). A small container with about an inch of alcohol at the bottom will do. I keep a cover on it so it won't evaporate. I rinse the razor thoroughly before shaving and after shaving so the container doesn't get dirty. Dulling of the blade is caused by debris and soap scum, a dirty blade is also more likely to nick. Keeping razor in alcohol allows it to remain clean and very sharp, your shave will be clean. My blades last much longer, typically, over a month. I hope this tip is helpful to you.

I think we should reopen the discussion on natural/not natural looking models, i.e. shaving. I think it is a pit(y) that women seem to think that hair is unsexy and unwanted by men. A lot of men prefer natural pubes, and it is sad to hear that abby tries to persuade the models into shaving. Shame on her. Kaya (models section) is a good example of an incredible sexy girl with the right natural look.
Let's hear opinions on the subject.

I'm sure Abby does not try to persuade the models to shave or do much of anything else other than to be themselves. The application of makeup, other than a very minimal amount is strongly discouraged though.

Abby herself said about 4 posts above that about 85% of models come to her already shaven.

As for what I prefer, I'm with you Retro and Dane - closeups of stubble and ingrown hairs bother me too. The only model I can think of who pulled off the hairless thing pretty well is Sarah. She's just about as smooth as a billiard ball.

I have to say that I do like the 'smooth' look - just a personal preference. Haivng said that, the shot of Briana with the mango is astonishingly good. The wet pubes add to the quality of the picture!

Nope, you're dead right - I did say I got models to shave. That was a long time ago, tho - middle of 2001. We have changed a hell of a lot since then. As Elvaar suggests, we actively tell people not to shave from day one. When we interview potential models, we ask them the state of their pubic hair, and if they say "natural" we ask them not to shave until AFTER the shoot.

Some of them fail to understand simple instructions, and come to the shoot shaved (they usually think that we wanted them shaved - even tho we asked them not to - go figure). Getting angry with them is not productive (but it sure is tempting) - all we can do is just review the process where we ask models not to shave.

But really, how any different ways can you say "please do not shave your pubic hair."? We used to threaten them, saying "if you come in shaved, we'll cancel the shoot", but that's getting off on the wrong foot - we don't want to scare people away with threats!

Anyway. We know it's popular. There are plenty of shaved girls around, so we're not going to piss anyone off by trying hard to get some hairy gals. And we'll keep trying, cos we all prefer it ourselves. As you'll see in the fetish index, we do have bunch of them already, and we're getting more alla time.

Shaving for me it depends on where LOL - my Girlfreind shaves "downbelow" but leaves her cute little "snail trail" - (you know that fine sometimes visable trail of hair that peeks up form the pubic region to the navel) its a really sexy look - i must stress that she does it because she wants to and not to "please" me her boy friend - thats why its so sexy - additionally she doesn't shave her armpits - which shocks some people but me well once again - its just plain sexy

The only turn off for me is when women don't shave their legs. Honestly, I think whether they have a bush or don't have a bush it's all how they present themselves. I don't mind either way, just keep the legs clean.

Thanks to abby for the reply and her assurance that you don't promote shaving. I'm a bit surprised about the statistics that 85% of the models are shaving, and by shaving I mean shaving of pubes, not trimming, not shaving of legs and so on. That cannot be representative of the population of (young) girls in Australia - or can it? Could we have some informed guesses on the proportion of shaving girls in various parts of the world? Coming from Europe myself I would say that it is probably less than 50% but higher than 30%, but even here there are great variations from north to south etc. May be some "inside" information from women's locker rooms would be useful. Let's hear from those informed persons (probably mostly women img tag disable, use attachment mgr/system to add images to postshttp://www.abbywinters.com/discus/clipart/wink.gif).

The problem is, we don't see typical average girls, statistically. The girls who visit us are the kind of girl who are likely to strip naked for the internet, which is a sub-section of the community that also are inclined to have piercings and tattoos, as well as the proclivity to shave their hoo-has. It's a mind-set.

I gotta say, I disagree with vidman. We DO see and shoot "normal" girls. Sure, some of them are predisposed to behave like an 80's porn star, but we try hard to keep these to a minimum (Nikki would be the most recent one, and that was almost a year ago!).

I would say that more than half the models we interview and plan to shoot have "natural" pubic hair (we go by what they tell us - we don't see their pubic hair in an interview, only topless test shots are taken). A LOT of them shave before our shoot - even tho we ask them not to - cos they have seen their boyf's porn under the mattress, and see that all the girls are shaved, and figure we MUST want that, even thou we did not ask for it. Totally missing the point of the site.

However, that being said, I'd say about 50% of gals here shave "agressively" - to a drag strip or so, at least. And probably 90% of girls will do their bikini line, just so they can go to the beach and feel comfy.

Not many gals here wear tiny bikini bottoms where a drag strip is necessary, either - just getting the hair off the thighs is enough.
