Penelope

The code behind is: (url=http://abbywinters.com/main.php?page=profile&model=740)Penelope(/url)
Replace the "()" by "[]".

Luxman,
Since we're learning "cool tips of the message boards", here, how do you link to a specific post (post number) in a thread?
Thanks,

Alleyes

Testing again using your instructions.
(url=http://abbywinters.com/main.php?page=profile&model=740)Penelope(/url)

Not sure if I understand the - Replace the "() by "[]" directions...meaning if I copy the link and just put in the () why should I require to replace it with [] ? Is there a copy link properties or something that I am not pasting in properly?

The easiest way is this code: (post=41664)Interesting message(/post)

Result: Interesting message

To find the message number just point on the small # at the right of each message.
The number of you question is 53478.

Looking above you did not replace the "()":
(url=http://abbywinters.com/main.php?page=profile&model=740)Penelope(/url)

it should be: Penelope

The structure is: Text you want to display

I only used the "(" ")" to avoid the generation of a link.

Do you really want a guy making doughnuts with these models?

(sorry, that was for the cow tongue picture)

Hi Lxm, as you can see the use of color also avoids the construction of a link! How did you discover that?? Just trial and error or did you KNOW this?

Hi Spuddie, yes, I knew that before, but the real code becomes very complex with that.

but you could make it look right by using almost the same color as the text:

test

and it is only complex if you look at the quoted message.

Erm, you could also try using the noparse tag thus:-

test

which produces the text: -

test

and is a lot easier than messing around with font colours and the like.

Well, and that comes from a guy who always says "I'm not so in this computer stuff, please eplain me exactly what I should do in a very simple language,..."

I KNEW there had to be a simple way.

but of course you had to noparse the noparse .....
