Instead of reading to a fixed camera, I've got a better idea.
As the summers coming why not
Take a video camera to a secluded beach, and lay a towel on the sand.
2 girls sit on the towel
One plays Samantha

They take it in turns to narrate, reading alternate posts. but they must always read their own characters lines.
But not to a fixed camera.
Another girl who is working a hand held camera gets in close to the others as they are reading, perhaps even occasionally touching them with the camera. They still have to keep reading the story, no matter what happens.
