    Free Download Manager Downloading ???

I cannot download any more than 1 file per time, and when the next file in queue comes than it says file not found on server

    #2
This sounds like a set up problem, your download manager may need your login details.
Perhaps you could get back to us with the details of what OS, browser and download manager you're using and then we can figure out how to get you up and running.

I use Free Download Manager and I have always had the same problem. I asked about it one time and got an answer but decided one at a time was ok for me. I"ll find it in the archive and post the link back here.

If anyone out there wouldn't mind parting with a few bucks for a very easy-to-use download manager, I'd strongly recommend Net Vampire. I've been using it for years on all sorts of sites, porn, non-porn, free, and subscription.
Drag the link(s) to a "basket" it puts on your desktop. For each site put your username/password into the "site settings" once, it will remember them forever. Use site settings to tell it how many files it can download at once per site. Shut down your computer in the middle of downloading (or if your internet connection is interrupted), it will remember where it was for each file.
You get full function for a time-limited trial period.

And no, I don't get kickbacks. It's just very much easier and more trouble-free than any freeware that I've tried (and I *always* try freeware first). For some people who do a lot of downloading, that would be worth it.

I've been using Internet Downlaod Accelerator( http://westbyte.com/ida/) with a Windows PC and Firefox with the Flashgot plugin for a couple of years. It's not free but works very well on most sites including this one. Doesn't seem to like the Girls Out West site for some strange reason; there again I can never decide if I like it much either!

I did tried Net Vampire and it worked good until the trail period ran out and I got no way of paying it over the internet. Then I found Leechget and I been using it ever since. With my last computer I had some problems with it but with this computer not a problems at all.

I use Firefox 1.5.0.9 and a plugin/extension called DownloadThemAll! which is built into Firefox and a free download from the Mozilla plugins/extensions page. I have never had any problems with this.. I personally limit the manager to downloading 2 files at once with 3 parts per file.. but that's just personal preference. It's got a One-Click start so you don't have to drag and drop, or open the download manager separately either.. Well worth a try if you have Firefox.. which you should..

Well... not really You got the main.php page meaning FDM didn't have a valid cookie for the AW.com site. Usuaully that means you have to login to AW.com using Internet Explorer (you don't have to browse the site using it, just login. FDM gets it's cookies from IE)

and as I see I posted something along that lines in reply on said thread. Never heard anymore about it

Unless I missed something, it is not possible to set dTa to download a file at a specific time of day (or night).

A person is looking for in a Download Manger might want that ability.

True, I load the manager up with stuff and queue the downloads during the day and evening, then the last job of the day is to hit resume and go to bed. But it's not like having a scheduler. On the other hand it works, which none of the others do, IMO.
And I am on a Mac.

Nearly forgot the links, silly me:

fransAW, I truly apologize for not getting back to you on that. You must have been right. I just lined up 5 downloads and they all completed 100% A-OK. Thank you for your help very much.

Looks useful, but how do I tell it to download the full size images, not just thumbs?

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I use a manager (or used to use, before my old one stopped working) only for tgp pages and the like. For example, Violet. I hate to sound stupid, but precisely what settings do I use? I've looked at the program help files, but they don't actually help. Big shock there. Thanks!

Forget single images, go for the whole lot, get the zip, or custom zip!

                                  Help/info can be found here:

You need to select 'Links' and NOT 'Pictures and Embedded' in the selection window. The fullsize pictures are links, they look like this:

                                  Code:

Another usefull FF addon is the Download Statusbar

It workes like the standart download list FF provides but settles at the bottom of the window like the standart statusbar. It's ideal when using right-klick and "Save target as" or to save pictures/files without using DTA (for smaller files without less risk of DL failures). You can still use the window if you want to have an overview of what you downloaded by using CTRL-J or via Tools -> Downloads.

I use it since installing FF2 and it works great...

I have been having the same problem described at #1 for a few weeks now - never had a problem before on this site. I use FlashGet in Firefox for XP (2)
