In another thread Mrs Roops raised the issue of how women feel about lesbian sex and imagery. So I thought it would be worth asking how men they feel about gay sex and imagery and in particular gay porn - boy-boy stuff in other words.

As a heterosexual male (when I get the chance - lol!), homosexuality in itself doesn't repulse me (each to their own after all), but I do find the idea of anal penetration pretty repulsive. I mean I'm not looking forward to the day when the doctor has to do the biz to check the prostate (and I'm sure he won't enjoy it any more either).

Having seen quite a bit of gay porn on sale in Holland and Germany, what does make me feel uncomfortable about it is that a lot of the participants seem underage, the 'barely legal' market, with boys on the front covers of videos who look like they are only just through puberty and not yet old enough to shave. This is quite distinct from the 'hunk' type calendars and the like that are marketed at heterosexual women.

I'm sure that they only look young as well, but, as a generalisation, as boys develop sexually at a later age than girls do, that's possibly not surprising. I'd guess that most of the gay porn I have seen sold at Schipol Airport and such places consists of guys who are in the 18-21 age group but whose looks are ambiguous enough that they could pass off for 16-17 (still old enough for consensual sex, straight or gay). I think that as has been mentioned in other threads, this site could get prosecuted if the girls looked under 18.

On the general issue of gay love stories or relationships - you mentioned Brokeback Mountain - I don't see them as any different to hetero love stories. The British film Prick Up Your Ears, the biography of Joe Orton and his lover-turned-murderer, Kenneth Halliwell, is definitely worth seeing. It doesn't evade the fact that both of them indulged in sex with teenage Arab boys in Morocco. Orton's original title for his diaries to be made into an autobiography was Prick Up Your Arse.

The kissing doesn't bother me, but as mentioned above, I think anal penetration is pretty repulsive. I suppose it's hypocritical of me as well to enjoy seeing women indulging in 69, but to find men doing so a real turn-off.

I'm glad you mentioned that, Mermur. I don't know if I'd be interested enough to become a member, but I'd sure like a look. I've found that I actually do get turned on by nude handsome young(ish) men. And my tastes in men are similar to my tastes in women... natural, not augmented (breasts in the case of women, muscles in the case of guys). I find I prefer guys who aren't very hairy.

Hmm... two guys together, can't say that would interest me very much at all... I don't really even like seeing two guys kiss...
