This has possibly been suggested before. Have you considered setting up another website exactly the same as this but with boys/men instead of girls? This will not be of any interest to most of your current customers, but if it's of the same quality as this site then you will have a new second stream of revenue from a different crowd. I expect gay sites pull less than straight sites, but making a significant dent in the huge straight market is an achievement anyway. Most of them are terrible and this is great target for the right company.

The nude-female porn business was dominated by men, and then Abby and others got into the mix and changed it around to be more female-friendly.
And now to have a woman proprietor of a nude-male porn business. It boggles the mind! You'd be attracting a whole different class of models, I'm sure. Perhaps your different orientation would be able to build up an audience of straight women, not just gay men.
A question: at Barrysummers.com, will size matter?

You gotta wonder who registered barrysummers.com and WHY Btw. Melinda you'll want to include b/g sets on your new site too. Done in a way women might actually like looking at them. Such sites are VERY rare (about 4 or 5 worldwide I think), girlfriend had to search REALLY hard to find some.
And do beware of the distance to the bbq indeedy

Another new idea would be a thread where you can ask general questions'i've just started a thread just to ask what happened to lost posts now i think thats done and soon will also be taken away too so i suggest a thread to ask general questions.

Wouldn't it be a good idea if there was a thread where people who wanted to compliment the photographer and videographer on the shoot could go to,surely this makes sense and would keep the new model page for compliments for the model the thread is for..........not rocket science is it ?

Hey, Chief! Maybe it's not what you meant, but "sucking up" is usually what you do with someone in a superior position which can gain you favor in their eyes.
People here aren't sucking up to the staff, they don't have an ulterior motive.
They are genuinely appreciative, and understand that there's teamwork involved in any shoot. The models understand this better than anyone and I'm sure they are just as appreciative or more so than any member about the work of the shoot supervisor, model liaison, shoot assistant, and photographer or videographer. (And image editor. Let's not forget the image editor. )
There's a synergy involved... a good model makes the photographer look better, and a good photographer knows how to draw out the personality of the model, making her look better. A good shoot supervisor sweats the details about how, when, where, and with what, thereby making the whole shoot a lot less stressful for everyone else.
If you want to adore the model and only the model, go ahead. But don't forget that there are those who are genuinely appreciative of the folks who bring the model to you.

I tend to use 'shoot' threads to give my opinion on the shoot concerned. That does include what I think of the models obviously but also how the vids and stills were shot. After all, staff needs feedback too Separating that out to a per-staffer thread isn't really that convenient, might as well keep that grouped on shoot basis (and two threads per shoot would be a bit silly wouldn't it ?).
I don't see the need to think in model/not-model concepts. But since I don't think I'll convince you of that I won't bother

When you go to the models thread you have the new models these threads have always been about the new models ie: i like her shes nice and so on,if there was ONE thread that was for behind camera praise that would work as well,if you go back to last year no one was going to these threads to say anything except about the model in question the thread is after all called THE MODELS

Originally, it was called "The Models" because we only had about five forums, and that seemed as good a name as any for what we had planned for it. But as time has gone on, what it has really morphed into is "The Shoots" because it's where all the imageset shoots are heralded and what is linked to from their profile pages. And now that we have more than just one photographer, praise for the shoot quality is more frequent, as there is some distinct style showing through.
Sorry, Chief, it really makes more sense to praise the team involved in the thread about the shoot, than to create a separate one. Without that team, the shoot couldn't happen. They deserve just as much recognition as anyone, when it's called for.

Beg to differ, but i'll leave it only to say it didn't happen until this year and the praise now is for the sake of,
there have been many quality pictures over the last few years that didn't get the praise they deserved because it wasn't prompted.
If you aint got the model you aint got the shoot ..by the wayLast edited by chiefbrody; 2 August 2007, 11:23 AM.

Can you give any examples of how it looks more mechanical to you.
P.S. I disagree that the most striking recent sets have been reduxes. I've been bowled over by some of the recent new models.

Maybe 'The Models' should be renamed to 'The shoots' ? Which is what it has become anyway. Easier to differentiate between that and 'The Models Speak' too What to do with 'The Videos' though, kinda useless then.

How about this?
How about a site on the Discussion Boards named "Off The Record" where members could post opinions, suggestions, criticisms, observations, shaded compliments, etc., that do not require replies and when there is some need to be discreet. The other members would not be able to read the posts and there would be no replies to read either. That seems to me a good way to get feedback if it's truly wanted.Last edited by lpadge; 5 August 2007, 11:28 PM.
