"deviations", we mean, deviating from the abbywinters.com norm, whihc is characterised by bright, flat lighting, and smiling happy models - not more moody stuff like this. Also, Gayle has fake breasts, you can see the scarring if you look closely. I reckon she's pretty sexy, tho - but she'd never had made it on to abbywinters.com without this new section.

Well done Abby. Have been looking forward to this since you annouced it. I too wondered why Gayle was in here and didn't spot the scars until I had a closer look. (Maybe I was looking at something else) For me, a model like Gayle is still in the spirit of AW.COM. She is not a totally fake, made up, airbrushed, unrealistic woman. I won't pretend to be an expert on the subject of implants but I do know that "normal" (for want of better word here, I mean the sort of girl AW is trying to capture for us) have implants for all sorts of reasons and its just not the porn star/glamour model/penthouse pet that gets them done. I don't know what Gayle's background (Can we have a Bio please?) is but I think she fits perfectly into the AW.COM that I signed up for. That being said I understand that you have standards and you may want to keep to them to keep others satisfied. I am very thankful for this addition to AW.COM.

As for Susie/Petra, I don't normally go for any sort of B&D stuff but this is damn hot. You again have captured wonderful expressions and feelings in the models faces. Variety is good and keep this stuff coming in Deviations. I will finish by saying that the genital tape removal scenes should be interesting :-)

With the introduction of the less polite Deviations section, maybe it's time we also introduced slightly less formal language than is common throughout the rest of the AW site to describe our reactions to shots in this section...maybe something like this:

"Susie and Petra's shots got me instantly hard, I'm still hard thinking about their shots, and I'd come all over the keyboard if I didn't have to head out in a few minutes!"

What do you think? Any other such comments?

I'll ditto Schwing on both counts. Couldn't figure out why Gayla was in Deviations, don't normally get off on B&D but WOW that Susie/Petra set was hot. VERY happy that the section was added.

I'll also ditto Johnsea's feelings about the Susie/Petra shoot, but I'm too fuckin sensitive to use language like that.

I'll skip the feedback on Gayla, since it seems the only reason she ended up in Deviations was breast augmentation scars.

As far as the Suzie/Petra shoot goes, I was very impressed. The text setup on the home page about the shoot, whether true or manufactured for effect was perfect. The brooding Petra dominating her victim in the brooding, dark shed was a perfect match of content and media. I thought the shoot was excellent, catching Suzie's expressions in contrast with Petra's (absolutely perfect) placid expression oh-so-appropriate to someone who is in control of a D/S scene... The only small criticism I would venture, being someone who has been the D in a D/S relationship is that the Sub generally isn't allowed the freedom to roam her hands about the Dom (as we see toward the end of the scene), and certainly there is not the role-switching that we see in the last frames. But hey - if that's the only complaint I can have, and it is, then it's almost nitpicky.

Beside the fact that Petra and Suzie were a great match for this, and that it was extremely well shot, what REALLY impressed me is that the natural look and feel that I love on the AW site actually translated well into this scene. There weren't any ornate leather devices, heavy makeup, or costumes that we see in B/D, S/M, D/S sites on the web. These two models were wearing plain cotton knickers and clothes, and weren't wearing any npticeable makeup. I thought this aspect separated the AW Deviations section from the rest of the world. Really outstanding.

Being a big fan of D/S, especially bare-handed spanking, I look forward to seeing more of this on the AW site. And originally, I was not interested...

I always feel like I'm such a gusher here with praise, but I have to say that in thinking about it over the last few days (I've been away from AW for the Thanksgiving holiday here) that the Petra and Susie shoot rivals the best ever on the web and anyplace, for that manner. (Not that all of Abby's work doesn't, but I think there's no doubt that this goes even beyond the extraordinary high quality of Abby's work.)

Some of you out there have no doubt seen the work of Roy Stuart, he works in France and has these very sexy shoots with young women, some bondage play, etc. The shoot here feels something like his but has the added attraction that we feel we "know" warm-blooded, talkative Susie and cool, elusive Petra a little bit.

That makes seeing Susie's mouth taped up so she can't talk and her breasts covered with the word "slut" (I can't make out what all the words are on ech piece of tape -- any help out there?) even more exciting. In any case, thanks very much again!

I have 3 books of Stuart's work, published by Taschen. He has an eye for what's sexy but so often he goes overboard with storylines and dressups, I think.

It's true that Susie didn't know what was in store hor her that day. Obviously she trusts us not to arrange anything dodgy but she also knows that tall poppies get mown. Or in this case, moan! At the end it was all forgive and forget and Petra gave her big kisses to soothe the nasty tape rash so it seemed reasoanble to let Susie down to return the affection.

We did shoot some video and even with 2 cameras rolling, much of the footage is compromosied by Abby getting in for her stills (there were no pickups on this shoot). We had loosely planned to make it a 45 min semi-feature but I think it's more likely to end up here as a series of AVI's. You can hear Susie squeal and moan in real time! She said later that it was far and away the best time she's had during a shoot, and she's done a few.

ok, right off the bat, no offense intended to the photographer responsible for laura's shoot, but in the comments section where her set pic is, we were asked what we thought...well, here goes.

regarding the art: the art was fine for the art of the shoot alone, and maybe that's the kind of thing u wanted to include in the deviations section, but because of it i was disappointed by the lack of closeness i felt with the model, both figuratively and visually.

laura, who's a fine-looking model, got lost in the photographer's artistic talents. to me, it seemed she was no longer the fundament or focal point of the set but a prop for which the contrast of the toilet paper was to be set against, making the toilet paper more the image of the pics than her.

were the idea to compliment or manifest the model herself, it didn't succeed imho.

I'll be the first to admit the shoot did not work - the idea is flawed. The whole story could have been told in three pics (or maybe two!):

her standing there nude.
her standing there covered in toilet paper.
her ripping the paper off.

It was fun to shoot, tho. :P And like I said, some of these will be hits (Petra and Susie), some are misses (Laura), and some are just boring (Gayle). Cool how we have all three in just one week of operation, huh?

Still, the alternative is them languishing on my HDD, seen by no one. We have spent the time on shooting them, so I may as well put them on the site (same deal for Mez).

Seriously, thanks for the feedback (there's a lot of backstory with Laura that affects the way she was shot, which will be told in Backstage, you can be sure!). Next week, Vanessa, the shoot that I had been conceiving for literally YEARS. I am very happy with it. Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

I thought the Laura shoot was artistically/photographically excellent. I loved the lighting and the look of the shots. Laura is beautiful, and she was a great choice for this shoot. As for it's erotic appeal, I am sortof neutral about it. All-in-all, I enjoyed it, though.
